Tennessee Volunteers Land Virginia Beach Star Justin Hunter | Bleacher Report

"This is a big addition for Tennessee's 2010 recruiting class and a strong start for new head coach, Derek Dooley. Hunter said he felt much more comfortable with coach Dooley than with the recently departured head coach, Lane Kiffin."

Darick Rogers - Lane Kiffin - Zimbio

"Da’Rick Rogers was staunchly in favor of Georgia until and unless, Derek Dooley team convinced him to pay them an official visit and according to Da’Rick Rogers, he fell in love with the campus life style over there and he witnessed an amazing program there. He further added that Derek Dooley was the prime reason behind his switching decision and he said that with Lane Kiffin he was not much interested but with Derek Dooley he was much interested in joining the team."

But you're right....I would MUCH rather take message board info and a conversation that a Frat Brother supposedly had with somebody's mom!

Lol, dude just got smoked!

Do you have cause to doubt OCI Amigo?

My understanding is that when the decision was made close family would know the morning before the announcement. Anyone not family would find out with the rest of us. I guess it could've changed. He is a teenager and I guess he could get excited and tell someone who told someone, but I find it hard to believe the person I talk to wouldn't know a decision was made if other people were finding out. Very hard to believe.

lol, I said y'all would say that from the beginning. I know how it goes. All I'm saying is that I respect his work a lot more than whatever it is that you think you know. I'll take the first-hand account any day. And Dooley would have never had a scheduled visit 3 weeks before signing day with Da'Rick had Orgeron not offered Nance and gotten them on the right track.

Sorry that your pure, unadulterated hate for someone makes you incapable of using logic.

I can't understand why they think the QB situations are better at Clemson. They have Boyd is gone. To me, the CB situations are similar, if not more stable at UT.

Basically guessing whether their 5* commit is better than Riley. Our QB situation is just awful if Riley isn't any good, theirs is bad if Deshaun is a bust.

and let's be real, the chance that Derek Dooley landed 2 of the best players of the last 3 years in 3 weeks is probably the most laughable assumption of all

Actually I dislike Dooley FAR more than Kiffin. I actually wished he would have stayed. I think we would have won with him here (assuming we could have kept the NCAA off of us). Just pointing out some flaws in your arguments. No biggie. It's what message boards are for, right?

I think my sarcasm may have been too thickly veiled - i agree with you that noone at this point other than him likely knows where he is going :salute:

WTF! Just drop it man, it doesn't belong here. Start a thread about why you still love Kiffin and see how it goes.

Sorry for my part in derailing the thread. It's just that when someone tells another poster that their comment was "the dumbest they had ever heard", then goes on to qualify that statement by singing the praises of what a good coach and humanitarian Lane Kiffin is......well, that's just hard to ignore for me.

And before he says I "hate" Kiffin and my judgement is cloudy, I will point out that while I don't think he is a very good person nor a particularly good coach (average at best), he is a good recruiter and I didn't blame him for taking his dream job.

Clemson has three former WRs in the league. DeAndre Hopkins, Jacoby Ford, and guy with the last name Brown in Arizona. I think thats it. I know Watkins will be there next year. Tennessee put two in the league this season that have both produced more than those.

You may want to check that again. Hunter and Patterson haven't been nearly as productive as Hopkins, who has had a really nice rookie season.

As for the "dream job" just goes to show be careful what you ask for.

Hopkins has had significantly more opporunities to get catches. There isn't an NFL GM in the league that takes Hopkins over CP. Hunter has made more game changing plays than Hopkins with less playing time. I think Hopkins will be a good player, but CP and Hunter will be better ones IMO.
