Also RB coach, but I'm happy with the job Gillespie is going. Pretty sure Troop was the RB coach when we had two 1000 yard backs. Then he was the WR coach the year Meachem finally broke out and lived up to his potential.

I'm happy with all our coaches, but if one left or was let go on the offensive side, I hope our first choice would be Trooper. Trooper, Luper, and Thigpen worked magic at AU.

The best coaches are shady, it is what it is. I guarantee Butch is doing shady stuff, ala the 32 commits we have right now.

He may be. I'm waiting to see how the grey/blue shirt ordeal plays out. We could very well take 30, 32, or 34 if the kids agree to wait to enroll. As long as he is not cutting loose long time commitments, I have no issue with it.

Personally I wouldn't change anything this year. We've had way too much staff turnover, and IMO it would do our players some good to have at least a little continuity. I didn't see anything really glaring that pointed to serious issues on the staff.

I'll be keeping an eye on Azzani and Elder next year though. They were given the least to work with from a talent standpoint of all the different positions, but next year the WRs and TEs need to take a step forward.

Its going to be interesting. I'm sure a couple are going to do like Swafford did this year.

Elder and Azzani had to work with the bare minimum and you can see our receivers took strides this year. Its been said Downs will never reach his potiential because of injury so I'm not surprised tight ends were so weak this year. We need Quinn to step up badly.

Makes sense, I can't imagine any other reason taking Sarkisian over him.

Sark is a W coast guy. Pete probably gave him props and they are about the same record wise. Sark, between tbe two, is logical. However, Haden screwed the pooch, thats USC, not Fresno.

Can you honestly say the WR's and TE's got better as the year progressed?

That's enough reason right there.

North was looking good.

Croom, Pig, and DY all looked better once the QB was allowed to throw the ball a little. I think WR will be much better in 2014. TE may take a little more time as we will be counting on (2) TFR to step in and play day 1.

Pete definitely gave him props but I'm sure Fulmer would have given Randy Sanders props here. It is much easier to win at UW than Vandy. UW is a top 3 job in the Pac 12 IMO. Oregon and USC being the only better ones.
