Uh, I don't think you're aware that UW was winless in '08 before Sark. He's went 5-7, 6-6,7-5 and 7-5. That's impressive as hell to me. Sark will be great at USC imo.

Tyrone Willingham recruited decently at UW, he did a lot of the hard work, just couldn't coach at all.

UW should have been a Pac 12contender this year and last year with Keith Price as qb and Bishop Sanky. They also had a great receiver in Jermaine Kearse last year

I thinks he did a great job. UW isn't gonna beat out UCLA, USC, or Oregon for any recruits first of all. Plus Stanford is rolling too. Sark knows the USC way and like the other guy said, if he brings Tosh Lupoi, watch out.

Remember, Sark was Caroll's right hand man and heir apparent not Kiffin.

UCLA and Oregon aren't known as top recruiting schools. UCLA has high academic standards and the state of California is like Texas or Florida, plenty of talent to go around. You also don't have to worry about Stanford because of academics. UW could be a top 3 recruting school in the Pac 12 with the right coach.

Can't be sure, if he's being sarcastic or not.... I think not though. But, looks like Adoree likes USC's pick for HC...

SWEET PEA @AdoreeKnows Coach Sark. USC head Coach.. Oh Boy

Mean we have no shot with Adoree now? Or any chance it was a sarcastic comment?

:ermm:

Uh....yeah I was aware of that. Im also aware that 5-6 losses a year is not "impressive". He's just another great coordinator whom turned out to be an average coach.

You can't just rely on a number to determine if a coach did a good job. You have to understand the other variables and the situation of the job. I am not saying that Sark is a great coach, but Oregon was and has been dominant while he was there. Oregon State was decent, Stanford turned it around, and USC was ok. He also played LSU and Nebraska with home and home OOC games. He did have the luxury of Wazzou and UCLA being down for most of his time. But, you have to understand the reason for the numbers and where they came from. JMO.

The Pac 10 was really weak when he got there. It was one of the reasons Stanford was able to climb to the top so quickly. The Pac 12 fired like 4 coaches a couple of years ago.

He is a very average coach

Per source: Justin Wilcox is going to USC with Steve Sarkisian. Nothing confirmed on any angle from UW

I am not debating the kind of coach he is. But to say someone is not very good based off "5-6" losses isn't understanding the reasons why. He inherited a team that went 0-12. I think UT fans know how long it takes to truly turn around a program. We all know what happens when you are trying to change a culture.

What a bad hire for USC.

It just shows people that there has to be perfect timing to get a "homerun hire." If there even is one.

USC, Michigan, and UT all had to go a good portion down the list to find a head coach and struck out numerous times.

tOSU, Bama, and USCe got extremely lucky having a coaching search when those elite coaches were looking around.

I think he is an average coach. He isn't terrible, but this is a terrible hire.

Tyrone Willingham did the dirty work for that program and Sarkisian got them over the hump, but he couldn't take them past mediocrity with great offensive talent like Jermaine Kearse, Bishop Sanky, Keith Price, and Jake Locker.

If that true, then Wilcox was never a serious option for UW. Mora jr isn't leaving UCLA either. UW better hope the reports are true about Petersen being interested. I don't think he wants to coach at a big school, but wants to a coach at a solid school that can win big on the West Coast. UW fits that mold

Couple of notes from the awards ceremony today...

Tennessee had Tommy Thigpen, Steve Stripling, Zach Azzanni, Willie Martinez and Mark Elder were all in attendance at today's ceremony and certainly all the finalists were aware Tennessee was there.

For Clemson, Jeff Scott and Robbie Caldwell were in attendance.

Josh Malone said he will make his final decision late tonight and into tomorrow morning and John talked with Josh who just mentioned two teams pretty much saying it was down to Clemson and Tennessee.

Both schools will be in with Josh this afternoon/evening as Malone prepares to make his decision and right now it looks like Clemson will be the last team in with Josh.l but that is subject to change.

On to some other notes, Jack Jones and Zach Stewart said they, along with Andrew Butcher and Cecil Cherry continue to recruit for the class of 2015 and that they've built a strong bond early on I'm the class of 2015. Both Jones and Stewart won their respective linemen of the year awards.

Derek Barnett repeated as Div. 2, Class AA lineman of the year winner and just had surgery on his hand recently to repair a broken bone he suffered in the third play of Brentwood Academy's loss to Ensworth. He said he'll take an official visit in January. Tennessee coaches will hang out with him this afternoon for his weekly coaches visit.

We'll have more from here in Murfreesboro throughout the afternoon and evening and into the next few days.

To me this has Vonn Bell written all over it, I think Malone has told some close to him that he is going to UT but it would not surprise me if Clemson turns him in the 11th hour just like Meyer did at OSU.

Well, the difference is that Coach Jones has actually worked really really hard personally to recruit Josh to UT for months now. Whereas the former coach couldn't seem to get his head out of his own rear and call the kid. So, IMO, they are very different.

I thought I remember you having sources. You don't know what's going to happen? Hmmmm.
