It's been also thought that the Huskies will go the direction of keeping much of their coaching staff in place, and elevating Justin Wilcox to the position of head coach, but right now there is no confirmation of that.
Breaking: Sarkisian taking USC Job

He's got it made out there. Walks into competing for a conference championship with a rebuild roster and limited competition. Doesn't have to compete as heavy in recruiting, and doesn't get bombarded with football 24/7. Doesn't have to beat 4-5 top 10 teams each year just to get to play for a conference title against another top 5 team. Pac NW people are laid back and he can have a life outside the office. Not in the SEC. Don't blame him one bit.

I swear, when he left for Washington, I said he'd be a head coach within a few years.

Creepy sideline lip licks aside, I think he'll be a good HC. I hope Sirmon gets elevated to DC...outside of Eddie George, Pete was my favorite Titan over the last decade and a half.

Uh, I don't think you're aware that UW was winless in '08 before Sark. He's went 5-7, 6-6,7-5 and 7-5. That's impressive as hell to me. Sark will be great at USC imo.

1st two years were impressive but last two showed he had hit a plateau. If he was an elite coach(which USC deserves) 7 wins would be far from his ceiling at UM IMO

Agreed, and he has a few staff members who'll be recruiting giants at SC, if he takes them with him--Tosh Lupoi, for example.

Petersen just loves him some Idaho potatoes. If he won't take USC, he will never leave, IMO.

I would think it's Sarkisian. Franklin at USC would be dangerous in recruiting, tapping into his Tennessee ties. With a real program, he could actually begin to sway good recruits.

Probably withdrew his name because he was told he wasn't getting it. Most schools will be considerate and allow the coach to "withdraw" instead of looking like he lost the job.

I thinks he did a great job. UW isn't gonna beat out UCLA, USC, or Oregon for any recruits first of all. Plus Stanford is rolling too. Sark knows the USC way and like the other guy said, if he brings Tosh Lupoi, watch out.

Remember, Sark was Caroll's right hand man and heir apparent not Kiffin.

Uh....yeah I was aware of that. Im also aware that 5-6 losses a year is not "impressive". He's just another great coordinator whom turned out to be an average coach.
