i think we could expect reasonably to get 7 next year. i agree 6 is a must. My way too early prediction:

Conference schedule: Georgia (L), Florida (W), Ole Miss (L), Bama (L), Carolina (L), Kentucky (W), Missouri (W), Vandy (W)

NConf: Utah State (W), Arky State (W), Oklahoma (W), Chattanooga (W)

all in all I think it'll be a better Tennessee team and an easier schedule... our schedule this year was maybe a perfect storm of top 10 teams.

I am taking the high road and positive approach that there are many things to build off of this year and I expect big things in the future. I'm glad our coach expects the same too. As Butch said in the presser, Bowl Games are the expectation moving forward, no excuses.

Pig's fumble vs GA and his block in the back in the Vandy game would have given us 7-5. Not blaming him because he was trying to make plays, but the game of inches was cruel to us in those cases.

With 6.5 sacks this year @CoreyMillerYFN had most sacks in a season since Parys Haralson of the @Saints (8.5) & Jason Hall (7.0) in 2005.

For all his faults as an a**hole of a man, Bo Pelini might be available soon.

I'd sign off on him as our DC.

And FTR, both of our coordinators are below average. And that's being kind.

Hell, when Vanderbilt's DC is far and away better than UT's, something is wrong in the world.

I think we have a good chance at beating Georgia and SC due to Murray and Shaw leaving

Nope, you're right...was thinking of Martinez, my bad.

That being said, I'm still right. He's below average so far as an SEC OC.

that's true I just think Georgia will be tough in the beginning of the season because I expect a lot of true freshman playing for Tennessee...

Also at Carolina Dylan Thompson is really pretty great for a back up. Seen him play some great games. I think hes a junior. Not Shaw but a good transition. I think in all honesty it will hurt more losing Clowney because I'm sure he'll head to the draft this year.

Bob Shoop is a good coordinator but he has and would struggle against every team Jancek struggle against. Why not wait until we have talent and the players are developed in the system.

We're not beating Oklahoma. Florida is possible but I wouldn't bet on it. Missouri is going to be great again next year.

Yeah, I forgot we play Georgia earlier than normal.Maybe we can go all Auburn or Mizzouri next year and win the east.

Where and when would he have played behind Neal and Lane the past two seasons?

He would have been Tom Smith .

And got 3.5 of the 6.5 in one game.

I hope y'all are taking into account the talent they had to work with. Sure they could've done a little better but we had Propst and Arnold see playing time on D and little to no receiving help on offense. At least give them a chance to play with some young talent before you cut them loose.
