Had 204 yards receiving on Friday night, including TD catches of 38, 87, and 68. Could be one to watch out for in what's shaping up to be a very good '14 class in Tennessee.

Ht: 6'3
Wt: 190
Gallatin, TN
Station Camp

Josh Malone

The link to 247 doesnt work and is really irritating. Can we get this fixed?

Me neither..... as depth. Pearson and, if we get him, Malone, will move him out of the starting lineup immediately. Btw, while we're talking about WRs who will no longer start, Josh Smith should be given and apple and a roadmap detailing the shortest distance on how to get to Carson-Newman.

I will personally buy him an apple and a roadmap. Maybe we can turn him into a DB? He has a natural DEFL system built into his hands

I wonder if he is really fast, or if other teams just say "don't guard the white kid". Because he's always open. I've not given up on him either. I think he could help in some capacity.

FWIW I still say that everything points to Josh being a Vol on Dec. 4th.

I think Josh will be a Vol, as well. The staff will be able to answer his final questions and point to the fact that what other team in division one has 2 elite 11 QBs. He will be playing with a great QB here with Tennessee. Maybe more than one. I know a lot of people question that, but after next year no one will. Easy sell by the coaching staff, because it is true! Josh will be a Vol and represent his home state! GBO!

Josh Malone's recruitment is more important than to the future of UTs program than the Kentucky game. I wouldn't care too much if the staff handed off the Ky game to the grad assistants and spent Saturday at the Malone house too if it meant they closed the deal with Josh.

I don't have my sarcasm meter on, I'm just praying this is sarcasm. Btw, if he loses tomorrow (can't believe we are only fav by 4 to the worst d1 team), then this gives all the negative nancies all the ammo they need. We must beat ky.

Right now toss up between UGA, UT, and Clemson. Dabo is in Gallatin right now as well. Let's hope Butch pulls the ole delay tactic and won't let Dabo in.

Should be between UT and Clemson. When deciding what coaches you will play for, you have a Butch and a Dabo. 2 interesting names. And then here comes a Mark... Oooo watch out for Mark.

Thanks Matt. :hi:

I've felt for a while UGA was the team to beat (just reading the tea leaves no inside info), and was hoping Malone had said something to the contrary. I know the Clemson guy said they were on the outside looking in, but don't know how much truth there is to that.

I'm impressed with CBJ's effort here.

In the past we have lost recruits due to lack of effort, the inability of our coaches to sell the program and the opportunity a scholarship to the University of Tennessee brings, and, in my opinion, the lack of the coaches' desire to hit the road hard and recruit. I think its a good sign that if Josh Malone choses to attend another school, it won't be for one of these reasons.

If Josh goes to Clemson or UGA, its because he truly just wants to go to Clemson or UGA. Best of luck to him except when he plays UT. He's done things right and he's giving UT more than a fair shot to sway him.
