Yes, he has recruited pretty well, but imo, there are a lot of coaches out there that could do just as well or better with everything UT has to sell. After all, most of Volnation thought Dooley was doing a decent job up until the end and then Butch comes in and we're all scratching our heads wondering wtf were we thinking. I know this is just the start of year 3 under Cuonzo and I hope he builds a power house, I really do, but I do miss CBP being the lead story on sports center bc he's drenched in sweat from his passion for winning and coaching. JMO

This is the internal struggle I always face when I want to complain about a stupid thread or bump. Do I ignore it and hope it goes away or comment how stupid it is, which continues to bump it?

Third in are Legacies that are not EE's
Fourth in are TN kids that are not EE's
Left to add are best available based on position/roster needs

Again, this is just the way I see the wind blowing today. Mid-year enrollment begins Dec 18 and ends Jan 15 so we'll have a smaller picture to look at in a little more than a month. I'll be watching to see if any EE's are told to look around because I'll be a bit surprised if Mosley[TN] is not a part of this class. If there's a change in the distribution I think it would be because we come up one short in LB and that spot could be used elsewhere.

I think we will honor Paulk's scholarship but as I've posted before I think we're pulling a RB slot from 2015 to account for his injury. Paulk's spot, in my speculation, is guaranteed by Butch's commitment to honor the offer but his enrollment will be in January 2015 and he will be counted in that class. Just my speculation.

Speaking of off topic, anyone got a stream I can watch the Mexico - New Zealand game? Apparently espn doesn't like Dish network.

The thought of Butch Jones and Bruce Pearl coaching the two major sports at UT at the same time makes my head spin.

I doubt Bruce will ever don the orange blazer again, but I can't help but imagine the sheer energy that would be created by those two.

I know. I think it's going to be tough so I want to believe the illusion that our numbers could be greater than Butch's 30 but I'm highly skeptical. The thing that sticks out to me in the big picture and I think the perception that is being created is it's not going to be easy to get into Tennessee. So many kids want in but we're limited by numbers. Our numbers crunch is a really incredible success story as to the magnitude of the recruiting turnaround on the hill and not just for this year but also going forward. The perception has been changed.

This makes a lot of sense for everyone involved. From the very little bit I know, he seems like a kid you'd want to keep.

I agree and I think we may be able to sign his scholarship papers on or after August 1, 2014 so he may not be sitting around in limbo waiting for the 2015 class to fill out.
