Florida State*impressed the Malone family during their official visit a couple of weeks ago and Malone was back in Knoxville Saturday. There is pressure on Malone to choose the Vols and Scout gives UT the edge three weeks out from decision day December 4.*Georgia*is*Tennessee's biggest competitor right now, but*Clemson*and FSU are both still in this. Malone has an official visit to Clemson scheduled later this month. Ohio State had him on campus for an official, but the Buckeyes are on the outside looking in.
Talked to my friends close the the situation last night. Basically still the same as last week. The game didn't change his mind on Dobbs, and the score wasn't a real concern.
When asked about the Clemson visit though, they said he hadn't really talked about it at all until yesterday when all of a sudden he seemed pretty excited about it. For now, it still looks like a two team race but from I guess maybe Clemson could slide in there this weekend. However, just as speculation, I'd be pretty surprised if Clemson made a big enough impact to get to the top two.
Clemson scares me a little bit here. Boyd and Watkins are on their way out, but there's a good QB and WR core coming in, with Watson then Kitt and Scott respectively. Malone would make a nice little fit for their quad-core powerhouse receiving corps.
I'd look for Chad Morris to leave with Boyd and Watkins. Clemson will have a hard time getting a comparable replacement.
Yep if be more worried if Morris didn't have one foot out the door. Similar to Malzahn if Morris leaves then Clemson will fall back to middle of the pack. David struggled until that hire so unless he backs it up with another really good hire he will have issues especially with no defense
