NuKeese Richardson
Josh Briscoe
Kenny Oneal
Brett Vinson
Matt Milton

Brett Vinson actually in his time here became a solid defensive back. I remember hearing about his athletic ability and being so excited about him & Duke Crews coming to UT. Now that went up in smoke.....

Anybody remember Bobby Graham? He'll never be on any list like this but I swear that guy never dropped a single pass. When we needed a first down in 2001 he always delivered on a short route.

Maybe not the best wide out from UT, but has done well at the next level and perhaps better than what most expected - Denarius Moore.

I remember him breaking Memphis hearts. It also kept me from hanging myself. Losing to Tiger High a second time in my life would have caused me to hang myself.

Surprise Larry Seivers name hadn't come up.

Seivers pre-dates the '80 mark. The only people that would argue he doesn't have the best hands in UT history are those that aren't familiar enough with him to know any better.

Willie Gault heard footsteps....always seemed to protect his pins over making the clutch catch

Eric Swanson would always fight the DB for the ball and always won.

Tim McGee was something special...that why NCIS uses the name

Peerless was also special and clutch

Carl Pickens would always be my first choice

Then there are the ones never talked about that were good in the NFL, like David Martin and Anthony Miller

Martin played TE in the NFL. Having met him in person, I can see why.
UT coaches couldn't figure out where to use him. Funny, considering how the TE role has evolved.

Cordarrelle Patterson is not top 5 from UT. He's easily one of the most talented, athletic individuals to ever play at UT but his skill set thus far is best suited for the return game. IMO, there are several other receivers that have played at UT you'd rather have at the WR position. That isn't intended to demean his ability as a WR; UT has had amazing WR's as we all know. CP is very raw though.

Must be too young to have ever seen Gault. Open field running for him was a straight line. He was fast enough to not need moves.

I was pretty young then but I do remember Gault, and I have watched some replays since then. You are right. He simply outran everyone. CP's moves were sick though. I could watch them both all day long.

Not true. I watched both Larry and Craig Faulkner every game that they played in Knoxville, and you can certainly make an argument that Faulkner had equal or even better hands (debatable). I remember him catching a ball one handed behind him that most people couldn't have even touched.

Larry had more wing-span and was the first of the really good receivers that I saw play on the hill. Seivers' two point conversion catch thrown by Holloway was a great one, especially given that it was a game winner. He may have jumped even higher after the catch in celebration.
