I completely agree. I'm 20. I have a twitter, but I can't remember the last I tweeted or even checked it. I have better things to do with my time. Like scan VN. :)

I just find it stupid when people bash the guys who use it and tweet at recruits when the recruits let it be known they love it.

For every 5,000 positive and encouraging tweets to a recruit there is maybe one bad one. He'll the ratio is probably better than that.

Wow! You're only about 40 years younger than me. I can remember when I was 18 I never thought I'd live to be 25. Now that I'm old and have grandchildren I try to keep up with what they do so I do my best to learn a little about all the new hi-tech stuff (but it's very little) that they use. Kind of like going through a 2nd childhood.

Not trying to speak for him, but his kid is 15!!!! Do you have any idea what 15 year olds with unrestrained access to the internet/cell phones do? In my opinion, he is a hero and I really wished there were more parents like him!!!!

Yes I agree. Porn and other crap can be accessed easily and kids these days know what their doing. Morals are going down the drain.

It's not just that. It's how kids/teens interact with each other on twitter, facebook, instagram, snapchat, etc. Your last sentence couldn't be more accurate!

Which is another reason I absolutely respect a kid like Malone. To be as high profile as that kid is to avoid stuff like Twitter speaks a lot to me about the type of kid he is and/or the type of parents he has. I really hope he chooses UT, but if he doesn't he will be a success in life wherever he goes.

I'm 36 and IMO not an old geezer, nor am I past my prime. The reason I don't tweet recruits is because I have a wife, 3 kids, and a career. Rather than being a "geezer" past my prime IMO I'm doing what grown ass men do. And IMO grown ass men don't fondle their keyboards drooling over KIDS via twitter. But hey, the IMO means in my opinion, and that's really all this post represents.

I'm just a few yrs older than u.....be honest it's just that we are smarter, don't have to use twitter.....we just go to the recruit tweets section of volnation. Lol
