Recruiting Forum: Football Talk VIII

I've mentioned before, the pastor in the only English speaking church in town is from Tuscaloosa, and how that creates great emotional anxiety in me... You can't even escape bammers in Northern Thailand!

Well, Sunday, my wife was visiting with his wife, and she thought it would be nice to pass us some of her children's outgrown clothes. Suddenly... Bama shirts came out of the bag. My wife was taken aback and said, "oh no. My husband would not allow that in the house." And on game week no less.

Love my woman

Don't take the giving of clothes as an act of kindness. I don't care who they are, it's not a coincidence that this was the week she tried to passdown some Bammer propaganda to your kids.

I've always said, it's important to brainwash your kids before others do it for you. Case in point.

That's me right now...just got up with the 4 month old after working a 12 hour day.

...it's 3am and I can't go back to sleep. So what do I do?

"Hey, I wonder what's on VN..."

Sigh...I'll probably see the sun come up.

I feel for you. This is our lives as well, only with a 5 month old grandson since his parents work 12 hour shifts. Always wake up an hour before we start our "shift" at 5 AM. Temporary affliction that will be well worth it down the road.

Good stuff. lol.

Our pastor is from Tuscaloser and a Bammer as well. He is also working in the foreign mission field here in east TN. :) Invited him over for a game without knowing his "affiliation". My wife explained that our entire downstairs and man cave were all Vol all the time. His wife stepped in and said we would not want him to come since he was an obnoxious Bammer. My wife quickly disinvited him. Proud husband here.

Cherrished memories right there.

I prefer the twinkle in their eyes at their first walk walk or when the T opens but I guess you can't have one without the other!!

Just a few more days left for Alabama being ranked #1. It's time! :loco:

Naw, the polls will realize that this is a glimpse of the future...that the uf, uga, and oregon games were flukes...that the end of the bama reign at the top of college football is now inevitable. In a gesture of sympathy, a 1loss tide will remain #1 in the polls... :)

UCLA will also topple oregon making BruinVol's user name quite impressive :)

The buckeyes will also fall; meyer will be taken from the field by stretcher in the midpoint of the 4th qtr. ambulance crew will be embarrassed by the sobs of "its happening again, oh Tim, not again" over and over :)
