I'm still seeing a lot of hate on Worley. The guy is getting better, much better. He's not making dumb plays and making the throws when he needs them. Also, the receivers are getting better.

I honestly don't think we (the fans) understand how badly these guys have been coached the past 3 years. Worley is turning into a very good game manager type QB. And he's improving with each game. These guys are now getting some coaching and it shows.

I am not hating on Worley,,, I think he is one tuff MF'er but he can't hit a target, his is often saved from a bad throw by his receivers ......

I believe he is a VFL and deserves to be honored as such ... but the truth is he will NOT WIN us a game, he may not loose us a game, but he can't be counted on to win one when the chips are down..

We need our running game to step it up this week...

Personally I think the jury is still out on this. I see an inexperienced QB, who had very limited coaching getting better and more in sync with his also young receivers each game. Will he win this game, I don't know. But I think it's possible.

He won this past game. Yeah North made great catches but he threw catchable balls. Also he had some key scrambles. Worley isn't playing bad at all right now. He may not run the read option well or make every read but he's playing well enough to win. All he has to do is play within the system and get our playmakers the ball. Nothing extra....

Thank you, he's got young WRs and a new coach/system. The whole offense is coming together that's why we see much improved play. Our 4-5 star talent WRs are making the plays they're expected to make.

Didn't he just put Tennessee in FG range to win the game on Saturday?

Tennessee worked almost exclusively indoors Wednesday for essentially the first time this season as it worked toward Saturday's showdown at top-ranked Alabama.

The Vols were in shells as they worked in the Neyland-Thompson Sports Center and continued along a stretch of five-straight ranked opponents that began with an overtime loss to Georgia and continued with last week's 23-21 last-second win against South Carolina.

Head coach Butch Jones continued to have extremely loud music piped into the speakers throughout the Vols' work as they try to prepare for what is expected to be a very volatile setting Saturday afternoon inside Bryant-Denny Stadium (3:30 p.m., CBS).

Josh Smith and Alex Bullard continued to be limited while Riley Ferguson had a black wrap on his leg for the second-straight day. Additionally quarterback Justin Worley again donned gloves for his work guiding the offense.

The Vols did focus on some special teams work outside, but Jones clearly is continuing to try and manage his roster and keep his players' fresh in this grueling stretch, especially as depth concerns linger.

Trevarris Saulsberry also continued to work his way back into form. Continuing a strong rotation along the defensive front is a key point of emphasis for the Vols, especially against an improving and gargantuan Alabama offensive line.

Justin Worley’s glove experiment continued Wednesday, as Tennessee moved its practice indoors while continuing to prep for Saturday’s game at No. 1 Alabama.

Worley wore orange Adidas gloves on both hands, as he did on Tuesday, during the portions of practice that were open to the media.

Butch Jones addressed Worley throwing in gloves after Tuesday’s practice, saying it wasn’t a cold weather thing because, well, it’s not cold. It had more to do with grip.

“Just wanting to try something,” Jones said Tuesday. “He tried both hands with his gloves, trying it. He felt he could grip the ball better.

“There were a couple times last week where the ball slipped out of his hand. It’s kind of a, I don’t know if he’ll wear them [Wednesday].”

Apparently it worked yesterday, with Worley back in gloves on Wednesday.

Jones downplayed what looked like an injury to Worley’s hand during the first half of last week’s win over South Carolina. Jones said Monday that Worley “banged up” the hand but it was “fine.”

Judging by this picture posted on Twitter, Worley is wearing some kind of wrap on his throwing hand.

you answered your own statement... again I am not bashing him... I just think this board has a tendency to over state every thing they read.

Worley plays within the system that Butch gives him... but if we are going to be an elite team, we need a QB with the talent to win the game when it is all on the line.

Greg McCleroy wasn't a huge talent. Nor was Josh Heupel. I'm not calling him anything but I'm just saying you surround a QB with talent and see what happens.

Last time I checked, the WR needs to catch the ball in order for a QB to "win a game". I think it's time to just have confidence in this team because after the last two games, we don't have much to persuade us otherwise. They don't deserve doubt anymore. They deserve belief and positivity.

I'm pumped to see the 117th Tennessee team upset two ranked teams in a row. Go Vols.

I'm pumped about team 117, I think they are amazing and I can't wait till they kick Bama's arse .... I am simply saying I wouldn't trust Worley to win the game for us... I would rather see it placed on the RB's

Of course last week I wondered what in the world CBJ was thinking when he put the game on Parlady to win
