Recruiting Forum: Football Talk VIII

So the ncaa in their report said that Miami was guilty of everything it was accused of, and that coaches and school officials lied about it to the ncaa. The basketball coach got a 5 game suspension, football lost 3 scholarships.

Somewhere Bruce pearl and Jim tressel are saying WTF is our show cause for misleading about tattoos and a BBQ?!

I enjoyed the "Clowney: whenever Steve Spurrier feels like coaching, we will welcome him back" comment, of the PG ones.

Also good: "i'm gonna give my self a timeout in the corner and call some timeouts while i timeout myself to death. good bye."

"I just want to take out my anger on some Ole Miss girls by sexual means. I mean this in a good way, not in a rape-y way." lol

Have been thinking about this the last couple days and someone mentioned in the Moss thread.

We need to heavily recruit the talented commits and prospects that Virginia is after. Brown, Blanding, Moss, etc.

A question on the Boyd case is how does a bookie give college kid a 100k limit? That's crazy to think he could have that much gambling debt. If he has that big of a gambling problem now wait till he actually has money

Damn, so far, I can't get a ticket to the Auburn game without paying out the ass. I've been to every home game so far but it appears I might not get to go to this one.

I'm not sure if there is a huge difference between a limit to a bookie, essentially a loan IMO, and a direct loan from an agent. Shouldn't be any different from an NCAA standpoint.

Which seniors have NFL interest?

"Good question, had a chance to talk with a couple of people around the program about it today and get some informed responses.

Obviously Fulton and James are likely to be drafted and the feeling is that Stone will at the very least be in someone's camp as a free agent if not as a draft pick.

One of the most intriguing responses I got was from someone who felt like Dan Hood would have a chance to make a team as an offensive guard if he made the switch.

Feedback I got suggested that Sapp would have a chance to hook up with a team either as a free agent or late round guy and maybe make a roster.

The feeling is that Neal is the kind of guy who will probably turn in great pro day numbers and be intriguing for a lot of teams, especially if he can produce in the last half of the season.

Was told that Corey Miller and Jacques Smith would probably have an opportunity as free agents at least to make a team.

A couple of people I talked to felt like Palardy would be a valuable commodity as a free agent if he isn't drafted. Since he can handle all the kicking chores teams will be able to save a roster spot in training camp by having him handle punting and place-kicking duties, which will make him attractive."
