What 4 teams are you expecting us to lose to?

Bama will be tough, as usual. But will have a new qb.
Oklahoma will be tough since its away. But a winnable game.
But I feel like we have a very good shot against all the others. At least 40-50% chance if not better against everyone else.

I think Oklahoma loses their entire starting receiving corp including TE as well as their starting RB. They also lose a CB and a Safety. fwiw.

Slightly under thrown

Maybe but Cam used every inch of his 49" vertical to go up and get that ball. Maybe his vertical is actually a lot higher and 49" is just a happy hop for him. I can't really say but the way he was skying I thought it was a great play.

Very quiet day for former Vols in the NFL

CP: Monday Night
Foster: Injured hamstring in the 1st Q
DMO: Bye week
Meachem: Bye week
Rivera: Bye week
Hunter: No catches
Berry: 3 tackles, 2 PD
Manning: Not having his best game against IND

This Denver game is suspect though. I don't see how the decker play wasn't a catch. Two steps and a football move make possession after hitting the ground irrelevant.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the play. He took two steps and reached the ball out. He wasn't falling, he was intentionally lunging as in "making a football move". To me, that's a TD.

There is no way he has a 49 inch vertical. 39 I could maybe maybe see

I like that 2014 schedule.

I am selling body parts for tickets to that UF game. I think the streak ends in 2014.

Every game in 2014 is winnable. But how much of an affect will losing our OL have?

With Weisman and Jackson, we are going to have a bit more Nasty in our OLine next year.

I think we could be better run blocking.

Pass blocking we are going to take a step back, but I think with Blair and rest of the returners we will be fine.

Would you settle for middle?

2014 Tennessee Football Schedule

Sept. 6 Arkansas State Knoxville
Sept. 13 at Oklahoma Norman, Okla.
Sept. 20 OPEN

If the OL steps up we could have a very good year.

I would have never said this at the beginning of the year, but if Raijon keeps this up he will get drafted in the middle rounds.

I think we own Vandy and UK. Bama game probably won't happen. I like it chances with Mizzou more than Auburn personally

Out of curiosity, why would you think Auburn would be more difficult than Mizzou? Auburn's at home. Mizzou's not. I think out of the 2, Mizzou is a more developed program, more stable. I give Auburn a good edge in talent over Mizzou but I think Mizzou is probably the better team. All we have to do with Auburn, I think, is stop the run. I think their weakness is their defense and that plays to our advantage. Our strength, surprising as it is, lies more with our defense than our offense. I think our defensive line has improved markedly beyond the progress of our offensive line and our secondary has held up really well against both Murray and Shaw and however much it's dismissed, I still think it's worth noting that we shut down Petrino.

I agree that Bama will be the best program we have faced or will face this year since Oregon. It'll be interesting to see if we can measure how much we've improved over the last six weeks. If we come to play, and I think we will, Vandy & KY should be in the bag. I think Auburn as it is setting up could be #7 and if we can take down Mizzou that would be #8 though obviously they're reversed in the schedule and both come before 5 and 6. The odds of us upsetting Bama are not non-existent but if we do then as we come into the end of the season it's likely a bidding war is going to break out for various members of our coaching staff. Fwiw, I don't think we'll lose anyone on our staff but they'll be worth whatever they're offered. jmo.

Auburn has done well in scoring defense but in total defense they are #11 in the conference. For comparison USCe was and still is #3 even after losing to us. Auburn is #14 in pass defense. In turnover margin we're #3, Auburn is #10. Their primary strength is they lead the conference in rushing. Mizzou is 2nd and USCe is 3rd. Absent us upsetting Bama we should be underdogs in both of those games (AU & MO) but if we're leading at halftime I like our odds. :)

Watch for the defense to be real strong in 2014. It will have stars on every level.

DL: Vereen, O'Brien, Saulsberry, and J.Williams

LB: Maggitt and AJ(If he continues his style of play lately)

Secondary: Shutdown CB Cam Sutton paired with veteran safeties McNeil and Randolph.

Playmakers on offense will be the story.

North and Howard will be hell. Josh Smith as the No.3. And Croom in his H-Back matchup type of role.

I'm extremely excited. And don't be surprised if Worley keeps winning, he'll remain the starter.

But the defense will be our calling card and I'm glad. :dance2:
