Miami and at florida isn't to bad of a remaining schedule IMO

With what five games left? UF is no longer ranked. Miami is the only ranked opponent left for FSU. Moreover, everyone left on Oregon's schedule has a winning record.

Stop looking for an argument.

Why is it that recently every year after UT plays UF, they start to be just terrible?

They were terrible this year. We were just more terrible. Would have won the game with Worley most likely, and definitely would have won with the team that we are fielding currently.

Lol. I am shocked FSU is ahead of oregon. Hope it doesn't hold up. Another reason to cheer against florida so as to Hurt FSUs schedule

Ok, I have been in CFP class for last 4 days, so I thought I would come share my thoughts on the game. I basically was in class the entire game.

At lunch I ran to the car and was able to see the first quarter on the Watch ESPN app.

At that point I was already hooked, so I would sneak my phone out and look at twitter timeline to follow the game. I know my leg was shaking and I was nervous as crap.

As we got to the end of the game, with 2 seconds left after we spiked the ball, my phone went dead, but luckily we went on a break. I legit sprinted to the hotel bar as Palardy put it through the uprights.

I was able to come home and watch the game last night, and then today I read this thread and the previous one for the during game reactions and it was both hilarious and funny, and then a bit emotional. I saw the ups and downs in the thread all in a short period of time, but then once the game was over I saw something incredible.

I saw a bunch of desperate, loyal fans, and their raw thoughts and emotions come out after the game. I then had to quit reading for a few as I found myself proud to stand along these loyal fans to support a team that deserves the best.

Marlon Walls, Corey Miller, Michael Palardy, Byron Moore, Dontavious Sapp, our Sr. OL, and the challenges they have endured and to get the signature win for them was special.

Then to see our former players reacting and to see Butch in a General Neylandeque pose was just amazing.

This is Tennessee, this is a place where kids should want to and dream about playing and Butch Jones has us heading back to where we belong at the top.

Oh and Bama, your next!

Proud to be a Vol!

Have you noticed that the last 3-4 weeks in SEC play we have hurt at least 1 top player from the other team? Not celebrating, just weird that this has been happening.

But they always seem to do worse in the games after they play UT. I think next year we play them a little later in the year though. That's fine with me.

That's angry effort. As a defense, you MUST be pissed and give more effort than you think you can give. That type of defense is dangerous because they fly. When the opposing team plays timid or with less anger, injuries happen. It's not intentional. Why hurts more running into someone or someone running into you? When I played, I was always taught to be the enforcer and not the victim. I said the same thing as you to my fiancé when shaw went down. :hi:

Seems like it. But we are getting better. I wish we would play Florida toward end of this season

Would you settle for middle?

Good point, plus Shaw also had a 350+ man on top of him!

That will be different opening SEC play with Georgia

First off Clemson did not play a healthy Uga. I suppose if you compare the health of that team and their team now you could make a case. I believe they were missing several starters that game. Their kicker, #1 WR, and a safety iirc.

FSU has played one game, Clemson. I believe if they played next weekend instead the game would be different. Clemson has 0 execution and 0 rhythm last night. Don't try to use the transitive property for your logic. It never works. I don't think there is one player on Clemson that I'd take over a Bama player. The roster for Bama is better, deeper and better coached in and out of gameday. Fsu would not win that game especially when you give CNS a month to prepare.

Someone has a man-crush on Saban. You're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine. If they play each other in the NC game, we'll see who's right. None of this "they didn't play well" bs.

I can assure you, as a dolphin and Tennessee fan, I HATE Saban. However, I won't act like Jimbo, who loses to an inferior opponent yearly, has a chance against a guy like Saban who does not.

Our passing offense has moved up to #11 in the conference against conference competition. We're ahead of #12 FL, #13 AR, & #14 KY. AU is #10 and we've put them on notice. #InchByInch

Was looking at our SEC west schedule over the past few years. We caught MSU at their ten year best, Arky at their ten year best, LSU twice, Bama every year, now Auburn this year when they'll end up being #2 in the west, while arky, MSU, and LSU are now down this year. We'll have played only top half of the west since Ole Miss in 2010.

Crazy the bad scheduling luck while we're at our low point.

8-4 next year IMO at this time. Tough sched but a bit more manageable than this year.

Indeed.

I agree. I'm thinking 8-4 may be attainable (if not more). Heck, 8-4 this year, while very tough, is not as completely out of the realm of possibility as I once thought it was.

Very quiet day for former Vols in the NFL

CP: Monday Night
Foster: Injured hamstring in the 1st Q
DMO: Bye week
Meachem: Bye week
Rivera: Bye week
Hunter: No catches
Berry: 3 tackles, 2 PD
Manning: Not having his best game against IND

What 4 teams are you expecting us to lose to?

Bama will be tough, as usual. But will have a new qb.
Oklahoma will be tough since its away. But a winnable game.
But I feel like we have a very good shot against all the others. At least 40-50% chance if not better against everyone else.
