Recruiting Forum: Football Talk VIII

Yeah, to pick the tiniest of nits, if it were me i would have used a down to center the ball, then spike it. Obviously worked out just fine though.

Me too, but 27 secs is cutting it close. We could have done it but there is some slight risk. But palardy had missed from the far left hash previously. So centering was what I was freaking out about at that particular moment

Nah, not really. You either have big game experience or you don't. He passed with flying colors on the road against a top five team. No qb has gone their entire career undefeated and nobody is expecting him to do so. His trajectory is among the most promising in history however. No reason to get hurt over that. Unless you're a canes or gators fan

To get hurt? Because I'm not deeming them the better than Bama? A team who couldn't stop the powerhouse of Boston College? Bama has been there and proven it in recent years. Fsu has not. So excuse me for not overreacting. And please spare us the message board "you mad bro" crap because there's nothing more annoying than some jackass placing a negative tone on a simple statement.

I just wanna say that guys like Charlie Severance, who played way before I was born, getting a chance to run thru the T for the first time is something that really touches the heart. I forgot that the T wasn't around then, or the Vol Walk. So guys like that got to experience it on a great gameday with a hard fought win over a top ten team. So thankful Butch is leading us. Please watch the vid if you haven't yet

Exactly why I wasn't going to freak out if we didn't get highest star average on dline recruiting early in the summer. Stripling is very good at what he does, his best recruiting tool is the product he puts on the field.

Our DL has improved so much more than I thought they were capable of. He's doing a great job.

We will play 7 ranked teams this season. The most in UT's history.

Is there a video of the pregame stuff with the alumni? I don't think I've seen it if there is, but I'd love to.

Damn if that doesn't choke me up some. Such a great event to put together.

I loved Majors wearing his actual game jersey and commenting on it still fitting.

The old guys at the back had the right idea. Walking through the T and just soaking it all in.

Coach Butch continues to amaze us at every turn.. Coach speak ringing true, family picnics, hundreds of lettermen showing up for our 2 biggest pregame traditions (Vol Walk & running through the T).. What will he think off next

Also inviting all seniors over to his house for dinner.

What I love about this team is that we don't have a superstar that everyone leans on. Everyone has to do their part, even the fans are helping. This is definitely one of my favorite teams since Al Wilson/Little/Manning played together.

This! ^^ It kinda remains me of the Braves 'worst to first' season...
