No sir! But they will be great but no!

It's hard to top two first round draft picks but the reality is that we only had the three of them for 5 years combined. If we get Malone and he pans out, we could be looking at a ridiculous amount of production in 2 years. If the QB play improves.

Malone, North, Pig, and Pearson could have the POTENTIAL to be as god of a group as those 3.

If Pearson commits, does it hurt our chances with Malone?

Can't believe it would. Guarantee Butch has let Malone know how important he is to this class.... nobody else coming here is gonna change that and I'm sure Malone knows that. I believe, with no disrespect to our present WRs, that Malone starts as a freshman next year at UT. He's special.

He'll be Kickoff Returner from Day 1 if nothing else.

Agreed. Well maybe flip a coin. Vic had 2 90+ yd kickoff returns last night. That's like 7 or 8 this year. But I can see Malone back there too. Nice problem to have.

Haven't personally seen Vic on returns, but I have with Malone and he is very fluid.

With returners, I feel like people always get swayed by flashy HS kickoff returns. I'd venture to guess that the majority of our skill position players had a few TD returns in their HS days. It seems like every year we say "this is the next returner," even though that person ends up doing very little.
just an observation

I've seen Josh play and he's not just another guy. The kid is the real deal, and he would be an instant improvement at PR. Josh is like North was last year. He's just one of those guys that you know will be special. He just has a knack for making the right play when he gets the ball.

Agreed.

Wharton is a definite return man though.

I think you are correct. The only reason I say THINK is you were a big time advocate of Santos and let me know... I made the comment he was a 3 star for a reason... (Oh me, oh my.. here comes the Vol Nation Crusade!) :loco:

Edit: Just did a Breaker Boy play there! (Apologies)

I hope that Josh's family ultimately feels that Tallahassee is too far away, given the impressive fashion in which FSU is whipping Clemson tonight. 51-7 on the road over the currently third-ranked Tigers. All I can say is wow.
