Hey, just wondering who will be doing the punting duties next year? Or are we going to so good we don't need one?
Add a RB to the original list and a late surprise that we aren't expecting. Cause that's the way Butch rolls!! :loco:
I'm pretty sure Medley is a proficient punter as well as a great place kicker....we still have Darr either way I'm pretty sure?
You know I thought Darr was a senior. That's why I was asking and the fact he hasn't really done all that well. I was wandering if Medley would do the punting along with place kicking. CBJ must be somewhat comfortable since he hasn't recruited a punter. or may encourage a walk-on maybe?

Per the UT Sports roster, Darr is a RS Jr. You're right about his effectiveness though. Hopefully Medley is a killer
I don't know how he's going to balance numbers ultimately. Right now, they don't have enough saying their are committed to have a numbers problem. Now they are poised to have a balancing act, but to have a numbers crunch you gotta go from being near or at the top with guys to those guys calling and saying they are in.
The realty is that there's a real chance that some good looking prospects may get told there is no room.
5 George Bullock PK 6-0 207 RS FR Knoxville, Tenn./West
25 Trevor Daniel P 6-2 221 FR Dickson, Tenn./Dickson County
34 Patrick Toole PK 5-10 174 RS SO Walkill, N.Y./Walkill H.S./Temple/Erie CC
36 Ryan Ault P/PK 5-11 196 RS FR Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood
42 Derrick Brodus PK/P 5-11 188 RS JR Maryville, Tenn./Alcoa
43 Matt Darr P 6-1 220 RS JR Bakersfield, Calif./Frontier
i think that is all the punters and kickers,it does make you wonder, what will go on next year
especially after i looked back at this and I have realized Palardy is doing it all this year for the Vols,he is having a great year so far.All American for sure.I hope
The one thing I think it's safe to say is that this staff is adept at getting the talent we need and in the case of JUCO's, the ready talent we need. I don't know if they'll be 100% successful but evidence thus far suggests we're not settling for who we can get. We getting who we need and who we want. Having said that, I think it's clear we need and want Adoree Jackson and Clifton Garrett among others. Dreams may not always come true but no way I'm betting against this staff.
Take off Jackson and Dews GS gives us 23 right now.
I have this as our final 7.
Malone - 4 - WR
Barnett - 4 - DT
Hendrix - 4 - DE
Garrett - 5 - LB
Jackson - 5 - DB
Evan Berry - 4 - WR/DB
Elliott Berry - 4 - ATH
Why would anyone doubt this staff won't blow this class out of the water?
I don't anymore.
I think we'll be just fine with or without them. I hope they come here! I really do but if they don't I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
Raleigh is 4.5 hrs. I've driven it. Miami is 11-12 hrs. Do you have a point? My point is Miami is a hell of a long way from anywhere. I like your posts Ron but you understand my point here.
I haven't followed recruiting that closely this year but I did see a LWS post that he still believed we take a QB this recruiting class. Any viable targets at that position?
