"The difference is the atmosphere is a lot more … it's just a better atmosphere and it wasn't like going through the motions of just doing things," said Malone, the state's second-ranked player with an offer list crowding 40. "They're doing things the right way."

"What sticks out really is how they played with a great team and all the time I got to spend with the coaches," said Malone, whose star first began to shine two years ago from his work with Nashville-based In Full Motion/Playmakers Academy. "That's good to see because it shows the coaches care about you, not just for four years but a lifetime. They're showing they're always going to be there for their players for a lifetime."

"I have a good relationship with butch. He's making me a priority and he keeps really appealing to me about rebuilding the program," Malone said. "As a player, you want to go to a place where you're needed and wanted."

Dobbs was his host on the boat trip and throughout campus.

"It was great. That was a good little set up," Malone said of the boat outing. "They had a Playstation 3 and we were just hanging around getting to know recruits and coaches."

"It was really just a good experience," Malone explained. "We went to the business school up there, which was real impressive too."

On Dobbs' message to Malone:

"(Dobbs) said that they've got a great coaching staff and all the guys respect them," said Malone, who intends to be a mid-term enrollee. "He was talking about this season, that it's the foundation. He was just telling me really that Tennessee is going to be a force, something to worry about in the future.

"It's appealing because it gives you the opportunity to come in and play early and make an instant impact. And it's a chance to contribute to building the hometown program back up."

It does cut both ways. I'm just trying to bring a little reality to the situation.

If a kid was interested in UT and FLA, and OVed to other schools when UT was playing them, and also to FLA when we played them.....everyone on here would point that out (and rightfully so).

And my post was simply to balance yours which seemed to suggest he's a strong lean to Georgia because of the # if times he's visited Georgia. That's all.

Not saying the Georgia game atmosphere was better but the complete day very likely was.

College game day on hand and then a last minute win is a hard combo to top

CBS here for Malone's visit cal it a push. Build it and they will come. I am pretty sure I know who his escort was and that was a good pick.

No worries.

Sounds like we made a huge impact on him this past weekend.

................................what

Dude has come into every thread for a LOOOONGGG TIME and usually does nothing but throw backhanded compliments.

He doesn't really throw out personal attacks, which is why he's allowed to keep his mask I believe. But he isn't a Vol fan. Just an obsession with us.

I'm not speculating. My source is in middle TN at Station Camp. No one was sure about where Josh was going until recently. His guide this weekend was Josh Dobbs. Malone's Mom wants him to go to Tennessee and he likes TN. GA isn't in the picture.
FWIW, Volquest just posted an article that included "Hosted by freshman quarterback Joshua Dobbs".

This goes along with what OldVol was saying. I hope he is right on the rest too!

Does anybody not find it interesting that Dobbs was Malone's host?

Malone has had questions about who is going to throw him the ball. Dobbs could be that guy. Idk maybe I'm Bruin'ing and over analyzing it too much.

Lol.

Isn't Malone a very intelligent very good student kind of kid?

I would say that's the connection the staff was trying to make.

Finding compatable host is a very big part of the game
