Dooley actually pulled off a couple that we were not favored in.

Which games were those? The rap on him was that he was here three years and we only one the games that our talent dictated we should win while we lost several we should not have.

Several of the "experts" picked nc last year as well as the CBJ led bearcats the year before.

And vandy was picked to beat us last year as well, so the only loss we had that we were not picked to lose was ky.

So, once again you are contradicting your own argument. Each year Dooley lost at least one we were favored in. By winning all of the games we are supposed to this year we are showing that we are getting better. If we pull off an upset at some point, all the better. If we go 6-6 and get to a bowl game, we have shown on the field that we are better, IMO. With the talent coming in, we will be significantly better next year.

I could see Dwayne Hendrix's Vol fever taking over this weekend with his entire family with him and going ahead, pulling the trigger to be a Vol while talking to Butch Jones after celebrating the win over UGA with the team still in their Smokey Gray's.

I like the way you think Eric!!!

GO VOLS!!!!! We can do this!!!

How do you figure we will be significantly better next year? The game of football, especially in the sec, is won in the trenches, not skill players. We proved that last year. Next year we will have almost both of our starting lines gone and serveral of the two deep. Fr and soph olines don't win championships or even perform at winning levels most of the time, it takes time for them to gel. So again, what starting line are you seeing on our roster next year that will have the experience to compete in the sec? And no, Dooley did not lose one he was not supposed to each year, and no I am not a Dooley fan.

1. Guys that are still here will have been in the system for over a year and they will be more comfortable.
2. Some of the freshmen coming in are better talents and, if nothing else, will provide significant depth over what we have now.
3. Next years O line will be more familiar with CBJs system, will be "coached up" for over a year and, while I admit there will be some drop off in individual talent, I believe they will execute CBJ offense better.
4. Same for the D line as well, but I believe we'll have better talent there.
5. Defense wins Championships and ours is improving every week. Next year will have more depth and talent.

Dooley lost to NC in bowl game first year...we were favored by many. Lost to KY year 2. Lost to VANDY and MO year 3.

Nuff said.
