'14 JUCO WR Eric Lauderdale (previous UT commit)

JUCO's are always harder to attract to a rebuild job. They don't have as much time.

Don't think I buy that. Jucos are usually all about playing big roles. Rebuilding jobs often offer that more than established successful teams

Would like to have this kid! But no biggie most of the time if a juco is real good he is 1 and done anyway and we will still be in rebuilding mode next year!

Couldn't UF fans say the same thing about UT these days?

These days? As in, 5 games? This may be the only year that they can say it. Otherwise, we throw the ball around...and will again when our QB develops.

Just for arguments sake....a statistical comparison of UF/UT passing this year:

Yds/Game:

UT- 154
UF- 191.8

Passer Rtg:

UT- 108
UF- 144

Total Yds (Ut has played one more game)

UT- 770
UF- 767

Completions/Attempts/ %:
UT- 75/139- 54%
UF- 65/93- 69.9%

It's simple.

Our starting QB's have played with the ability of a squirrel this year. Florida has played their normal scheme

I disagree. A squirrel would have found some nuts by now. Our QB's seem to still be looking.

I think everyone knows that Worley and probably Peterman are unlikely to be the quarterback when Lauderdale is on campus. I think CBJ is desperately trying to redshirt Ferguson and Dobbs in order to preserve four years of eligibility for them after this year because he knows we aren't going to compete for championships this year regardless and he doesn't want to risk stunting their development. I think Ferguson or Dobbs is going to be a good quarterback and, in spite of his performance in The Swamp, Peterman still has a shot. After all, Peterman is still a rs-F and The Swamp is hard for veteran QBs but I am afraid that experience could have stunted his growth as a player. I think Lauderdale will have a solid QB throwing to him here and it probably won't be Worley.

I want Lauderdale, but almost like Powell earlier in the year. If he goes elsewhere the coaches will beat the bushes for a new name.

Yeah, I remember vividly. I wonder how well Worley throws on the run. I would like to see us roll him out some, and see how he responds.

He sure isn't comfortable in the pocket.

Based on how he throws when his feet aren't set, I would say he would not do well on the bootleg. You need a strong arm to use that

I think Lauderdale will be a Vol next fall.

No way. Ron said "he gone" so it must be true. Ron jumps on anyone saying an opinion on a recruit if it isn't favorable for the Vols, so he must know his ****. I wanted Eric a part of this class, but now I'm upset knowing he won't be after Ron spoke up.

Whoa, easy there sally. My post of "he gone" was actually sarcasm. But I do think it's going to be a fight to keep Eric if he indeed takes his visits.

I tried to upload the gif and it says it's too large. Not sure how you got it to post. :)
