He'll believe some knucklehead telling him that Shannon Hale, an Alabama commit, will decommit and commit to UTK without a second though because the "info" comes from a UTK fan.

If someone on this board has interesting information, I'll always listen with an open mind. There's not many, if any, insiders on this board, though. But if any claims to have inside info, I'm all ears.

BTO seems to look at the teams next to a person's username when determining how trustworthy a person's info is, no matter how ludicrous.

Just passing on info about recruits in general. Why would anyone on staff make this statement up? It sure wouldn't be to make them look good? A top recruit tells them he's going to commit and then the next day eliminates them from his list.......that makes no one look good. I never thought Black was interested in staying in Memphis. I assume the only thing that kept them on the list is that his family got close to Robert.

As I remember it, we were all talking about our opinions on the subject, and no one had concrete information either way.

But yeah, I remember you trying to convince me that Martin would turn away a top 100 recruit if he wanted to commit to the Vols. Not only a top 100 recruit, but a guy that would be head and shoulders the best recruit in Martin's class if he wanted to come to UTK. Absolutely I remember you telling me that Martin would tell him to get lost. It was ridiculous.

Not that this has anything to do with your inability to accept inside info from Memphis fans.

I never had any information on Black or Skal, nor did I ever claim to.

Just like you had no information regarding Mitchell, you were just speculating. Terribly, i might add.

But when I do have information, like I did on Stokes, the Golden situation, or like BWings tried to tell you about Black, you scoff.

However, when some knucklehead UT poster tells you that Shannon Hale is going to commit to UT, you take that and run with it, so much that Hale's dad has to make a public statement to quell the rumors that you started.

It's just... funny, is all.

Martin also quit recruiting Makinde London, who by those same rankings would also be the best recruit in this 2014 class. It's not all about recruiting rankings to Martin, agree it disagree with it, but that's how he does things.

Martin did quit recruiting London, but he never called him to pull his offer.

Nor did he do that with Mitchell. Mitchell, as always happens when a spot fills up in a recruiting class, saw that UT signed another guard, and he understandably didn't consider UT anymore. It happens. But Martin didn't call him up to pull his offer, if Mitchell still wanted to go to UT despite Austin, Martin would've accommodated him.

I have seen a screen shot of a conversation between Mitchell and someone else discussing the situation. Rob Lewis also said after Austin committed we would stop pursuing Mitchell, his information comes from the staff. I'm sorry if you don't like this information because it doesn't support your opinion but its the truth.

The Hale thing was dumb on my part, no doubt, I've never argued otherwise. The kid had other posters backing up his story so I chose to believe it, shouldn't have and that's my fault. However it turned out to be as true as you saying Chievous was going to be dismissed from UT for starting a fight with Stokes.

No he wouldn't have. Like I said, I've seen the conversation, and it didn't go down how you think. I find it hysterical though that you're upset I don't believe the memphis insider information on volnation.com, but here you are telling me how wrong my information is when I've seen the conversations with my own 2 eyes.

I did, but I thought you were referring to my recruiting prediction re: Black a while back. The actual info I heard about Black verballing to Memphis was after he made his official committment to Illinois.

"Stop pursuing" is not the same thing as pulling an offer. My point is still correct, Mitchell still had an offer from UT when he committed, even if UT's staff had stopped expending resources to recruit him. If he called up Martin and wanted to commit, Martin would've said "you'll look great in orange, son."

Ah, the Cheivous/Stokes stuff is another time you wouldn't listen. I told you what happened, as reported from someone on UT's staff. I never said Cheivous was going to be dismissed, but I did say that Stokes broke his jaw and that Cheivous was suspended for starting the fight. Both were true and came directly from a UT staffer.

2. No Martin wouldn't have. Believe what you want, continue to be hypocritical, it's truly become a joke now. You know as well as anyone that many offers that are extended are not committable, Mitchell's WAS, after Austin committed it no longer was.

1. Sorry, I most definitely did not, because that's not what I heard would happen. I may have speculated that he may not return, but I definitely did not say that UT has/would dismiss him for sure.

2. Again, do you have evidence that UT reached out to Mitchell when Austin committed and said "you no longer have an offer from us"?
