It's not how you start, it's how you finish that matters. Made some bad choices, face the consequences, learn from it and move on to do great things!

The fact that he is admitting guilt should mean a deal has been struck with the NCAA to pay restitution and receive a multiple game suspension.

I think sitting out the Oregon game should be enough. Hell, the price per player for the trip to Eugene has to be far greater than the ~$1,200 he took.

But the Vols are even more shorthanded this weekend. The Vols will be without tight ends Joseph Ayres and Alex Ellis. That leaves the tight end position to Brendan Downs and Woody Quinn and A.J. Branisel. Ayres is expected to be out a lengthy amount of time; Ellis is apparently multiple weeks away from a potential return.

The other offensive concern is in the slot position. Obviously, Devrin Young is out with the broken hand. There's also concern with Pig Howard who didn't practice with the team on Wednesday or Thursday. Also, Johnathon Johnson might not be 100-percent. He's been in a walking boot a couple of different days this week after apparently twisting an ankle in practice.

That would leave wide receiver turned defensive back turned back to receiver Vincent Dallas as the healthiest slot, and Dallas did indeed work with the second-team offense at times this week. Tennessee can ill afford to have any more injuries at the slot position. If there's an emergency situation, Cody Blanc could be someone the Vols' coaches look at in an spot role.

Going to need some WR's and TE's to step up in a big way tomorrow. Hopefully Worley plays his best game as a Vol, we'll need him to. Our OL needs to show their dominance tomorrow, 250+ rushing yards from Lane and Neal would go a long way.

Defensively, the Vols have gotten a fair amount of work this week from Curt Maggitt and Jacques Smith with the second-team defensive units, with Smith getting the more work of the two. Corey Vereen worked more extensively this week than at any point since his injury, but the freshman end is at least a week away from being in position to potentially contribute. Smith and Maggitt both worked up front with the Vols' line as UT seeks to amp up its edge speed capabilities.

Also missing will be special teams stalwart Raiques Crump, who did not dress last week and also is considered to be multiple weeks from returning.

Don't be surprised if A.J. Johnson and Zach Fulton are among the Vols' captains Saturday.

Sure would be nice if Maggitt was ready to play, we need him.

Wouldn't surprise me if an extra OL is used as a blocking TE to run the ball more effectively.

Gonna be veeeeeeeeeery interesting. Cannot wait for depth.

I can't be the only one who prefers Downs, Quinn, and Branziel, can I?

Ayers is a LB, turned TE but I'll be damned if I know who Ellis is...turn Quinn and Branziel loose and see what they've got, they're the future anyway.

Ellis was really coming on til he got the injury. Depth is where this really hurts us. Our offense has some 3 TE sets. Tough to do those now unless some linemen are used.

We were a smokey (dog) in this game anyway. With injuries mounting plus Couch that only gets trickier. I say go for broke with some play calling and just have fun.

Ayres was a DT and actually had a few starts there iirc. Ellis is a walk on.

With our injuries at TE, I bet we see some 6 O-Line formations with Bullard and Jackson in the game.
