I gotta be honest, jay z sounds like the kids growing up in Memphis that sucked at rapping. I don't get it, and I don't say that often. No rhythm to his flow. I heard him rhyme the same word the other day with itself 3 times in @ 10 seconds.

Jay-Z is not overrated. Drake would be better if he had signed away from the Young Money label. Macklemore has a message in his lyrics. Automatically makes him better to me

Jay-Z is very very overrated, he's so hit and miss. He's often praised as a top 3-5 rapper, he's maybe in the top 15. Speaking of Young Money Lil Wayne is probably the most overrated rapper of all time.

I bet I listened to Freaky Tales a thousand times when it first came out. I had an old 78 Malibu low rider all white with limo tint, with a system in it that would rattle the dishes. I about broke my finger i hit rewind so much, I thought I was the coolest white dude around. Lol

I'm okay with some rap and hip hop, more older stuff usually, or if it's harder...but I was more into Punk and Thrash Metal....and old 70's biker shizzle.
