The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

For MWR ordering the #55 to pit and go two laps down in order for the #22 to pass them.
So that he gained what, 1 point? How is that any different than the leader allowing his teammate to pass him in order to get the lap leader bonus, which happens all the time?

Similarly, how is paying somebody for their spot on the track different from paying for their spot in the points?

I don't think it's the idea that he let him pass him, I think it's how all the talk on the radio sounds. Not really what NASCAR wants on the air waves after all the BS they have had to deal with this week.

Lewis wasn't joking about cutting down on endorsements with his new contract.

Not surprising to see JR with the highest endorsement earnings for NASCAR.

I just have a hard time believing that if Hendrick had pulled a similar stunt to get Gordon or Earnhardt into the chase that anything would have come of it. But then again I tend to be cynical when it comes to Nascar and their penalties.

I agree 100%. The whole NASCAR umbrella is run like Jim Bob's Hot Dogs & Ice Cream. They modify the standards as they see fit.

Not sure if this was a real tweet. But if so, AWESOME!
