Would You All Compromise???

At least Sanders had the balls to resign when the chips were against him. Fulmer will have to fire guys like Roper & Adkins.

I will say this for Arky State, they hadn't given up a 100 yard rusher or a 100 yard receiver until UT played them.

I'll give Arky a big pat on the back for the Texas game, however your stat is only good for two teams. Texas (which I've given props for) but the other is Southern Methodist. It isn't like they held that stat all year against big time SEC teams. It was two games, one of which was a complete cupcake...

Just throwing it out there. Texas looks less and less impressive every week.

we're 1 and 2. We lost to 2 top 10 ranked teams. Did anyone here think that TN would be ranked in the top 10 at the end of this year? If so, you have a case. If not, we lost to 2 teams that were supposed to be a lot better than us. We've played 3 games. Good Lord.

If Fulmer were offered that option, and bought it, that would validate every negative thing that's ever been said about him.

Laugh if you want, but IMO we only have one coach with heart and I would hate to see him go - Trooper Taylor.

No - Randy Sanders was the scapegoat in 2005. If we make a change this time it should start at the top.

And this is why we are in the shape we are in. The fulmerites are willing to accept getting blown out in two of our first three games.

Also, are you still supporting Fulmer by criticizing him for not having a special teams coach?

yeh it's criticism...so bc I criticize that means I don't support Fulmer? who knew all those years that my teachers marked up my papers telling me how to improve was them telling me that they didn't support or like me.... I've lived a life of pure deception:zeitung_lesen:

If Fulmer were told he must fire ALL assistants...a total housecleaning....would you agree to keep him as head coach?

You can throw perfume on a pile of crap and it might not smell bad for awhile but rest assured it will eventually smell like crap again.

I am more than ok with you criticizing him. You are the one stating we all need to "back him up" and then question why we don't have a special teams coach.

I was never meaning for this to turn into an argument lol... and I'm not really sure how to lighten the mood up... so I'll dance a little:dance: hold up a couple peace signs:peace2: and say... in my opinion yes we should stick up for him bc in a world of "Phil jokes" we should be telling "Phil jokes" not bc we agree with him but bc as of right now he's our coach... but that's my opinion lol

Don't think Phil needs to go! Maybe the Vols need a better defensive coach. The "D" sucks this season! Offense could be somewhat better. We'll find out in October and November. Offense needs to score at least 35 points per game over the long run. The "D" needs to hold the opponents to under 24!
Is that impossible? With Arkansas, Georgia, BAMA and Kentucky that's asking for a lot. Vols have to give 110% down the road to go 9-3! That means only one more loss. With Bama, SC, Arkansas, UGA and Kentucky it's going to be a tough October and November.

I think if the new coach could keep Cutt as QB coach he should/would. I think Cutt's ability at OC is suspect, but with the QBs he's coached, he'd be able to bring in the QBs who want to play for the same guy who coached Peyton/Eli/etc.

Unless, of course, we brought in someone who ran an offense without a pocket QB.
