The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Gordon fans should be pissed. If the #15 doesn't self-spin to help his teammate Ryan and Gordon both get in.

I want to be pissed. I am just heartbroken and disappointed. But so many chips fell Jeff's way, the Day Breeze with Jeff as the lucky dog and so on. But the lack of subtlety from the MWR guys is bold.

Since Pocono, that 24 team worked real hard to get themselves in the talk for the chase. HOWEVAH, They gotta have a solid year to make sure they don't have to deal with piddly **** like this.

Long story short, if Jeff drove this hard every week, then he would be in with no trouble.

Yeah I'm done *****ing tonight. This is why the sport is declining; too many gimmicks, too many cookie cutter tracks, and NASCAR being totally inconsistent.

John Darby says NASCAR believes there was no intentional spin on Clint Bowyer’s part. He said Bowyer would not throw away the points lead.

lol

here is how I see it. You hate to see someone like Logano get in over Gordon. Gordon could have been a legitimate contender for the championship, lagano will finish 11th, only ahead of Truex.

Gordon had as much of a chance in the Chase as I did.

I laughed too. The same lead that didn't matter even before he could get the sentence out of his mouth?

I dunno. I will take it how it is. If this was Formula 1, they would have removed the 99 as the winner and penalized the 15. All of that would have been done after the race. Not sure if anyone wants that.

If it was Jeff's teammate who spun to get him in the chase, I would have been pumping my fist and cheering, so I have no high ground to stand on.

I don't know why NASCAR even bothers writing rules about restarts though. They screw over the 48 on that rule, but they let two drivers clearly jump this weekend, and they don't care. That's garbage.

Total BS, that should have been Kurt's victory. The damn #99 jumped the restart and NASCAR once again doesn't do a damn thing.

Second night in a row. Keselowski jumped the start Friday night, and Edwards clearly jumped the start tonight. Rules state he was to give the position back but that wasn't going to happen. NASCAR is running behind WWE on credibility.

Didn't catch this earlier but they played in car audio for Bowyer right before the spin and his CC said something to the effect of; I bet your arm is hurting and I bet its hot in there. Code talk?

Judge for yourselves.

There is no doubt that was an intentional spin. The "hot/itchy arm" comment from the spotter can't be misconstrued, IMO. You have to question the integrity of MWR after that.

He got caught using jet fuel in his car at Daytona. Roush once accused his team of stealing parts from his garage (though that guy has probably taken one too many airplanes to the side of a mountain).

Either way, if you're just now questioning his integrity, you missed that ship.

Sitting in my @toyotaracing tundra! Hearing that my vols are kicking some taillllllll! Attta way boys! (I'm not driving) fools. #GBO

There is more coming from last night; MWR had the #55 pit in order to go two laps down. Also the #15 parked it for two laps to also go two laps down, the #22 needed just two spots last night to get in the top 10 on points, ensuring the #56 would get a wild-card.

Just a total BS move all around from MWR last night.

I spotted Michael Waltrip after the race:
