I think Jacob Carter, Vincent Dallas, and Paul Harris are the options we would have to choose from. My guess would be in that order.

So who is croom currently splitting playing time with??

If receptions is all we look at I would certainly prefer carter over him as well at this point

I saw someone in the FF earlier complaining about the players running out of the endzone after a int instead of just taking a knee and the touchback lol. Funny stuff.

Speaking of int's in the endzone, how much better does Randolph make this D? He had both of his in the cheggarboards. McNeil looked good too, imo. If we can avoid injuries back there and the freshman continue to come on this could be a pretty darn good unit at the end of the season.

I know Carter played some on the outside today. Not sure if he was splitting time with Croom or giving North a breather. I'll have to pay more attention to that sort of thing when I re-watch.

Aren't 3 of them slot receivers? Still need outside guys. It would be Carter, Blanc, and Harris challenging him for time.

Edit: Good one jjay - Dallas is a good one.

So where has croom been playing to this point?

Outside?

Slot?

Or both?

I think anyone who has watched this team play live can tell why Croom is starting. He is a physical beast, is often open and draws extra coverage his way. Some of those others can't create the mismatches Croom can (picture ZRo as an outside receiver two years ago against UGA after JH11 went down). Croom will have a breakout game soon. He wants it too bad not to.

Me too. In my very shallow way of evaluating Wrs(who makes catches), I feel croom is falling behind The rest of the group

I very much understand your thinking here but I choose production over projection.

Carter would me more productive imo(if we are only discussing receptions)

Absolutely not. His good throws are the exception, although that was a great throw to Croom.

It seems like his timing is down with Croom. They will start connecting soon. Worley may have gotten the urge to try and force in the red zone out of him today as well. "Absolutely" is awfully certain. The passing game looks better with that TD. I do understand that folks are accustomed to seeing more in the passing game.

Edit: the stat line in the passing game 11-19-1 for 142 yds, 1 TD and a 7.5 ypc.

Ok, first when you put multiple ? On a question, you seem frantic or angry.

Second, along with Carter, Blanc and Dallas, yes.

I am trying to figure who is playing where. No anger or argument at all from me.

Isn't Dallas on the inside??

If smith, croom, and north are the primary outside guys, then IMO croom should only be used to spell them when they are tired. No equal splitting of time.

Again all based on who catches balls and gets open

I think Smith was in the slot. The only ones I noticed on the outside were North, Croom, and Carter.

Smith, along with North, saw the majority of the snaps at outside receiver today.

Pig, Johnson, Dallas (just a few snaps), and Bowles (late game only) were the only players in the slot today.

If you looking strictly at the passing game I agree. Right now I think Croom's run blocking is buying him playing time, especially with how run heavy we've been.

I didn't notice Bowles come in late. Glad he did after getting dinged up on special teams earlier in the game.
