Tebow was the beneficiary of safeties having to honor his running much more so than timing IMO. That won't be the case with JW

I thought the same. If that's correct improving his timing on throws of any kind of distance will only help so much
I guess no one has ever missed a pass before. Do you nimrods not recall Da'rick dropping a 50 plus yarder Worley threw that hit him in stride, in the hands, in the endzone?

Something I was just thinking about, what has happened to all the UGA posters on this board? Unless I've missed them, I haven't seen them in months.

Holy ****! I remember how bad it sucked struggling to beat Akron last year.....literally struggling to beat Akron. I'm gonna enjoy this win and suffer the agony of defeat when it's time to do so. I don't understand how some of you suffer the AGONY OF VICTORY the way you do.

Some predicted a freshman to start at QB. Since you're eating crow you are now trying hard to discredit Worley's 11-13 performance. Some were too dumb to see that Sunseri completely destroyed everything last year. He was literally the Dave Clawson of defense. So why not ignore that we just shut someone out....complete shutout. Even the 2nd/3rd string...complete shutout!

A couple have completely torn apart Neal this offseason for no reason at all. Where are they at now? Finding something else to bich about.

I know a few of you enjoy being negative douche bag losers daily....I truly understand that. But for Christ sake, please take your pathetic negative crap elsewhere! At this point and this time, there is absolutely zero place for it here.

Damn testosterone injections?

So in your opinion arm strength is plenty good for JW?

I will agree that I don't remember many arm strength issues last year. Hoping those 2 throws were all about timing and not a strength

Tennessee had 0 penalties for the first time since the SEC Championship in 2007.

Tennessee rushed for over 300 yards (315) for the first time since the 2010 season opener. Neal ran for 104 yards in the 1st Q. Most by a Vol in the 1st Q since 2010. Tennessee was one of 7 teams to post a shutout this weekend.

Tennessee had the largest attendance (97,169) in the SEC and the 4th largest in the country this weekend.

Tennessee currently leads the NCAA in average kickoff return yards with 58.0.

Austin Peay had not been shut out since 2005 (84 games). Tennessee was the only SEC team to shut out an opponent this week. The win marked Tennessee's 800th win. -Kolton

*edit to add more to the list...

But what about Worley's arm strength?

I've always followed 2 teams.

1a) Tennessee Volunteers
1b) West Virginia Mountaineers

The rest can eat worm guts. My point is, WVU had to literally stage a 4th quarter comeback against William and Mary....LOL, W&M!!!! They are livid, calling for Holgerson's head, and they should. He should have never been hired. Lol, at UT fans who wanted him.

Anyway, if I didn't know any better I thought I was on the WVU site this morning. Go to We Must Ignite This Couch - WVU Football | WVU Fan Site and read their stuff. Then come back here. SMH. When....I said when we do get all the way back under Jones, I'll bet top dollar the same clowns will be here picking apart our weekly performances. Just as they were in 95-98. Smh

Have I stumbled into the football forum?

No you have stumbled into the: If you ask a valid question we will bash you zone because you should only say positive things thread. Don't ask a legitimate question about the offense. Breakerboy is the only one with sense thus far.

It was not just 2 throws, it was every throw. Not all were so bad that they were uncatchable, but none were in stride. I think he has sufficient strength, but I think he had 0 YAC on his throws.

Yep. He was just a few mph slower than Bray when clocked at last years Vandy game. And by everyones assessment Bray is the Gold standard of arm strength.

Yep. I recall that. Good stuff. If that's the case and the timing can improve JW might make a really good one. He is much bigger than I thought as well. He fits the look test

My only complaint is against BB posting that our 2nd team kids arent being counted on. That is completely ignorant to say.

As a squad (all playing on the field at exactly the same time), no they are not.

2nd team as individuals, yes and frequently as it should be. Best way to get them game reps and getting ready for bigger games.

May be the only game where you see wholesale squad insertion. It gave our coaches valuable info.

Other teams coaches would have kept their Ist team out there through the 3rd quarter. Run the score up to pad their stats. Needed? No.

Let our coaches coach this team...enjoy college football 2013. It will be over too soon.

42 first half points. 6 possessions, 6 straight touchdowns. Opponent had one chance to score the ENTIRE game and that ended as a missed field goal attempt.

I am quite happy with the 800th football win in UT history. Solidifies our place in the elite team category.

I do not see uf or usc (west or east) on that list :)

2012 - Volnation praying for wins under Dooley
2013 - Volnation griping over a 45-0 win under Butch

That in itself shows you that Butch Jones, in less than a year, has regenerated enthusiasm and higher expectations at a place where they should always remain high. Won't happen overnight but I actually am glad to see the griping in a way because it tells me that the fans believe in everything this staff is aiming to do and will not settle for the "woe is me" syndrome that our last coach spewed on a weekly basis.

There was no valid question. The entire second team will never be in the game at the same time in a critical game.

2 were in the endzone. 1 td pass was off his back foot with a de in his grill. He has work to do, but he did some nice things.
