Truthfully based on Week 1 I feel LSU, UGA, and aTm(sort of a tie but their offense is nasty) are better teams than Bama.

I'd agree with that as well.

Mettenberger (sp?) looked good last night for LSU, imo. He calmly converted a lot of key 3rd down situations. Also, #3 for LSU (can't think of his name) is a player. Dude is so fast it's ridiculous

beckham. jarvis landry is even better. secondary is in your face. they're awesome. TCU no slouch either.

another ftr: I'll take Tiny Richardson over Cyrus Kouandjio any day of the week and twice on Saturday.

A few quotes from that scout article I posted earlier that stood out to me:

“You know, for me, the greatest peace of mind that I have is how proud they were to show me the Vol Walk, how proud they were to run through the T,” Jones said. You could see the pride of who we are coming out, and that's what we have here and that's what we're building as a football team. I see them continue to grow closer and closer.”

“(Worley) controlled the line of scrimmage very well,” Richardson said. “His voice carried really well.”

“Cam Sutton prepares like a champion,” Sapp said. “It’s ridiculous.”

Lmao y'all act like bama sucks now and has no players? Bama knew they could wake up out bed and beat va tech. You honestly don't think Saban would have his team much more ready to play a top 10 team on road than a Va Tech team on a down fall?

nobody said Bama sucks. they are just saying they think Clemson is better

Lol Clemson "mixes it up". So I guess you're under the impression that we will only run the read option 80 plays per game. And that our staff will call absolutely no other plays?

Sorry, haven't been able to get on. I see y'all misunderstood me.

I'm under the impression that, to run the ball, UT will primarily use the read option. Not going under center, no power I, any of that. Obviously, I may be wrong, but that's what it appears to me seeing practice highlights and such.

I don't think that works well in the SEC. Feel free to disagree, but Worley is no threat to run the ball consistently, like Boyd can, even if they do sell out for Neal/Lane.

While Bama vs Clemson is an interesting topic of conversation, it was a bit of a straw man as a response to where Georgia finishes in the East.

SC and UF aren't just going to roll over and die when they play the dogs. Their OLine had difficulty with pass pro. I was actually impressed with the rest of their offense, but 38 points is a lot to give up. We scored lots of points last season and it didnt make us a good team. It's realistic that they could lose 3 or even 4 conference games this year.

As far as Bama's defense slipping... Need to see some better competition, but I think Logan Thomas would disagree.

1 do you even know what the power I is? Because its not a base offensive set for anyone except Gatlinburg Pitman.

2 it's worked for South Carolina. For about 5 years now they've been a zone read team.

3. Clemson is almost never under center.

1. Google.

2. They've had the personnel.

3. They have the personnel to allow that.

I can also be a smart@ss.

Off topic, but i was one of those saying dobbs was too small. After seeing the QBs warm up, all 4 of then have the size to play. Worley was a tad bigger than the others, and Peterman was too, but dobbs and Ferg both are big enough to play now.

A game played next week I might not argue too hard with you. Give Saban all year to develop then Bama will be clearly better IMO.

You think other teams don't develop? Can't stand how some people act as if Saban just will out coach anyone. If they lose to aTm what will be the excuse this year.
