Having just spent the summer interning with a TN district attorney's office I assure you there's no one going to jail for that. Typically it's 60 or so hours of community service, drug and alcohol assessment, and if the prosecutor is particularly aggressive suspension of driver's license for a year. (And diversion to keep it off the crim record). Unless you consider time spent in a holding cell to be jail almost no jail time is served for the vast majority of misdemeanors.

I did the same gig in Knox Co about 5 years ago for 2 years...he's right. Diversion and community service are the usual sentence. I never saw anyone lose their license, but it all depends on the particular prosecutor's office you're dealing with.
