Is that Tiny he's locked up with? That wooly mammoth bicep and ten foot long arm looks like Tiny.

My god, McCullar's calf muscles.

The staff seems to want taller ranger corners and if paynes measurables are correct he's not that. That's not a knock on him, even by watching his film he looks more like a nickel corner.

His film looks like Tony Carter's(former FSU CB now a starter on the outside for the Broncos). Contrary to what most think Payne is about the size of all these supposedly "5'10" CBs out there playing. His toughness, technique, and athleticism will a dictate whether he'll lineup outside for us.

Payne got some SERIOUS damn swag too. IMO that's a prerequisite for playing corner at a high level.

People need to remember Josh Heupel the old Sooners QB. Had a terrible arm and wasn't gifted at all. He had excellent timing, great command of the offense, and made great reads. We can hope Worley does just that.

I liked Sapp's game in the O/W game. But what are the chances Brewer starts on the outside? I've always felt Brewer was a good player, just a step slow to play safety. But he's seen a lot of snaps in SEC football, I could just see him providing good leadership and big play ability in the box. A slow safety to and extremely fast LB.

Yep....Brewer was always too slow for being a DB....I think he will excel at OLB....:salute:

"(1) If Brewer comes on, can you see 2M2Q sliding over to WLB to get our three best LBs on the field?

(2) Is JRM working at WLB exclusively?

(3) Mentally/schematically, is WLB probably easier than safety in this scheme?

(4) Do you think Weatherd will play LB in Knoxville? (He looks like a guy who could perhaps play some DE if they wanted his speed there.)"

"1. The three best linebackers may still be Sapp, Johnson and Maggitt. Remember, these coaches love Sapp. But, yes I could see them switching up some things if they think Brewer helps them.

2. They are working him in at a few spots. Jancek today said he could see JRM playing any three of the linebacker spots in the future but right now he fits in best at WILL.

3. I'm not sure. They keep things pretty simple on that side of the ball regardless of position.

4. They are recruiting him for a hybrid SLB and LEO. A guy that can play Strongside on first and second down and then slide down on the line to add some speed on third down."

thanks for posting pics! They really do look amazing...Happy Butch is our coach. The next few years should be something to watch with the addition of our 30 newcomers.

This picture caption should read, " When Immovable Object meets Irresistable Force; the Foundation of Tennessee Volunteers' football is recreated!"

Guys, my son is doing a little recruiting for the Big Orange. He plays on the Freshman team at Blackman. He tells Jauan Jennings (Junior QB/DB holds UT offer) every day "you need to be a Vol". Jennings has an offer from several schools. From what I've seen in practices, dude is a beast.

Except that time Dooley beat him by 20?

Not putting Dooley over him, but not good to make head to head comparisons yet.

I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about drawing a circle and straight up scrapping. He would stomp Dooley's guts out. If you can't see that....that's not my problem.
