Bates got a pretty drastic bump. Gavin Bryant got bumped to a 4 star composite. TK got an extra point last time around too. I think Joe Henderson climbed a bit as well.

You have to remember up until days ago, UT was not figured to be a contender for his landing spot. I bet the ratings were refigured before the news broke. Now that it seems he will pick Tennessee, I would expect his rating to drop to maybe an 88. :p

When: Tuesday August 13th

Chances: 49% Tennessee / 49% Florida / 2% Auburn

Blake's Take: This is going to be a close one for this junior college big man. Florida is one of the teams that have been on Lambert the longest thanks in part to defensive line coach Brad Lawing. On the other hand, Lambert believes that Tennessee presents a better chance to contribute earlier. In the end I think Florida edges out and picks up this talented big man, but it will be a close one against Tennessee, much closer than it would have been six weeks ago when this seemed like a slam dunk for the Gators.

Either we play spoiler or Florida gets a huge boost next week if they get all those guys. Hope they don't have a week like we did

That article sounded to me like he's playing the homer as to not cause a meltdown on the boards, but he's giving himself an out when Lambert picks TN.

The thing here is that every school feels good about their chances, but the schools that aren't in contention are picking UT. That and our writers are the most conservative. Hubbs, Fort, and Callahan don't sugar coat things. Which is the exact opposite of the AU writers who think they land everyone.

We should be thankful for Hubbs, Fort, and Callahan because those 3 are some of the best (and un-homerish) in the biz.

Here's his most recent update, sounds gooooooooooooddddddd for us...

Actually made a few calls after this story ran and things are pointing more and more for Lambert to pick Tennessee on Tuesday.

Just a lot of chatter. A big thing was the prediction by Mansell to Vols. He is a guy who has followed Lambert since he was in high school. Since Lambert was in high school that is. :)
