That's exactly what it is. There are over 1000 officers from the time period. It is a turn based strategy game like Civilization. That game is acrually what DW is based off of with all the characters. Many different scenarios you can play. Zhao Yun actually serves Gongsun Zan in some which is historically accurate until after the Yellow Turban Rebellion.

I thought Zhao Yun joined Liu Bei and Shu after Hu Lao Gate?

And isn't RoTK the video game only released in Japan? Can't find it anywhere. Back to the dynasty, have we advanced yet?

Half are ready and the other half are not. Should I go at a faster pace? Originally I was going to advance twice a week to give people plenty of time to play their game, unless we're all ready to advance. Wednesday and Saturday/Sunday night advances

You are correct. I used the Yellow Turban Rebellion just as a safety net just in case. Basically around the early 190's AD Liu Bei seeked refuge under Gonsun Zan. Zhao and Liu became friends and after Liu left the refuge of Zan that is when Zhao turned in his two week notice to Zan. Zhao traveled around the country for a while and it wasn't until around 199AD that Zhao and Liu would meet up again. That is basically when he joined Liu. From my understanding at least. The first army he ever joined though was Gongsun Zan's army between the ages of 16-18.

I have a couple of the RoTK games on my PS2. I know you can get them for the PC as well. They are still out there, but you have to do a little bit of searching. I found some on Amazon and E-Bay. RotK 12 to my knowledge will not be released here in the USA. RotK 11 is the lastest version you can get. Another game like it, Nobunaga's Ambition, is another good same type of strategy game, but is different in some ways. It follows the SW series. I have Nobunaga's Ambition: Iron Triangle and I played it a lot.

Anywho, sorry to have derailed the thread. It is a side project of mine to learn about these two era's so I can really go off on tangents lol.

Commish: As for advancing weeks, I'm all for advancing faster than just on Wednesday's and Sundays. But I would say if we do maybe give a 2-3 day grace period? But if people are finished beforehand then just go ahead and advance. Jmo and am just trying to critically think here lol:hi:

Also, I just noticed that the Schedules Tab are finally loading correctly on the dynasty website. As in, I'm getting the right schedule for each team and not just TAMU's everytime. Just figured I'd give a heads up on that

Yeah I'll advance as quickly as everyone plays. I just set those nights as for definite advances. Like myself, I know people work and have other stuff going on that they don't play a game each day. I think 2-3 days is plenty of time but I'm all for opinions. What seems to be the best way??

I think 3 days after a advance is fair honestly. Doing my game now btw

3 days is fair to me as well. Also, post like you have been doing every time you advance a week and then make a note of when the lastest the next advance will be. So far you've been doing this and I appreciate the info you give out. Keeps things in order and everybody on the same page. We scientists love being told everything possible haha. That and it covers you in case someone tries the "I didn't know!" ordeal. Unless they say they will be outta town for a little more than 3 days. Then of course that needs to be talked about.

Alright I'll make sure to post the week with the advance reminder.

ALSO, I know I'll be out of town for a week. July 27- Aug 4. I'll miss at least 2 advances so I'll either have to transfer commissioner powers to someone or just wait until I get back. Which means my team will simulate for 2 weeks but that's fine I guess.

Sounds good. We can cross that bridge the closer we get to the 27th.

Also, is merhawk anywhere to be found? Me and him play each other this upcoming dynasty week. Need to make time arrangements for the game. Paging merhawk!

did we drop the Arkansas user? i just noticed the OP doesnt have anyone listed, and i noticed last weeks game was simmed and he hasnt done anything this week either

I noticed this last night. I didn't drop him but he left the dynasty. Idk if he was upset that I advanced before he played his game or what.

Meh, I wouldn't worry about it. I noticed it too. In fact he left while I was playing online so I can confirm he left on his own.

2 is the minimum well play. With for sure advances on Wednesday and Sunday nights.

We'd be more than happy for you to join if you want. Just post your GT and choose one of the teams available in the OP

oh ok that's not bad. I didn't know if you all had the type of dynasty where you all played like 5 games a week. I don't have the time to play that much lol. 2 games a week is perfect. for me.
