Can't believe Butch and staff got him on campus. No way in hell would that have happened under Dooley.

Now lets make a good impression and secure an OV in the fall.

What about season changer? I can think of two or three games LSU doesn't win that year without Mathieu and you could argue had he stayed on that team it would have continued...

Jackson has always seemed intrigued with Tennessee and this will be the Vols' chance to validate they can help him both on the football field and on the track.

I agree, he and Leon Sandcastle are the two that immidiately come to my mind. One I've heard nobody name which I'll admit is debatable is Terrell Buckley. I think people forget how good he was. His season with 14 picks was one of if not the best I've ever seen for a CB.

Definitely the goal.

Imagine if maybe not by Sunday, but sometime before the season starts we are able to get commitments from the Berry twins, Booth, Gaulden, Barnett, Hendrix, and Mouhon. That would put us at 28 commits, 27 if you take out Dews. This would allow us to narrow down our recruiting efforts to Blair, Mosley, Damian Prince, a JUCO DT like Lamin, maybe Josh Malone, Adoree Jackson, and maybe even a longshot player like Street or Lorenzo Carter.

While most schools will have to actively recruit some 25-40 kids with 10-15 spots left in their class to fill, we will only have 2 or 3. This will allow us to focus big time on guys like Adoree.

More importantly it will give us time to gameplan during the season, and recruit and evaluate the class of 2015,2016 and beyond.

Just the burnjng desire of VolNation right there in your post BaldBiker! Would be a great way to inform ghe college football world that UT is back...then the team takes that fire and desire into the swamp and gator hc's head will explode... :)

Been thinking this is part of butch's master plan as well. Take advantage of momentum now. Use the extra time to hit the 15 class with some ferocious intensity. Hopefully, unlike Texas, we'll actually do something with getting talent early.

As I have stated before...if Muschamp gets fired at Florida he will have a good chance to play the abusive boyfriend/husband on Lifetime Network movies of the week.

Next years class will much smaller. Therefore, the need for evaluation is greater, and the number of
Prospects we will be after fewer. Gotta make
Each player count next year.

There you go with the Captain Kirk again. Lol. Well be picky next year. I hope it's mostly defense, and tackle at that, depending on how we close this year.
