looks like Truitt texted him about his spot at UT getting filled. this might be the reason Green wants to secure his spot at SCAR

Nah, spots are tight at SC but I think Green's decision has more to do with his '15 DE buddy committing today.

Somewhere in the range of 15-17 I believe.

I've seen them say 3 DB's...2 corners and one safety. They've already got a huge lead for Smalls (who they think will grow into a S) and now seemingly are going to land Green. Could be good news for us with DJ Smith if they land another CB prospect first. Maybe Truitt?

Oh wow 15-17. Even less than I thought. Yeh, hopefully if green commits then DJ smith will do something.

He is announing today between TN, USC, and Clemson.

Most say USC. DJ Smith is still saying he wants to play CB in college although more are now telling him he will end up at S.

He tweeted a few days ago he might commit earlier. That was after his 2015 team mate, Arden Key, committed to USC early after he and Green were supposed to announce on July 1st. Bryson Allen Wiiliams, Green, and Key have said they all wanted to play together in college. The South Carolina 247 and Rivals sites have confirmed with Green it is today that he will announce.
