of the SEC. It's time! Way passed time. They offer nothing to the SEC. Screw baseball, they end up choking every year anyway. We have been wanting to dump them for years. This is our chance. Replace them with a real serious replacement like VA Tech or heck even Louisville. Louisville would make for great bball addition too and that really opens the Ohio Valley region to the SEC. While we are at it, get Missouri out too. Why the hell are they in the SEC? They are nearly in Kansas.

Honestly, I kind of enjoy not having 41-0 beat-downs over Vandy every year. We have history with Vandy and they are our in-state rival. Plus, they help the academic image of the conference. Everyone also seems to forget that Vandy is one of the original members of the SEC. The deserve to stay, but I still hate them. FU, Vandy and JF.

We need them! Everyone needs a little brother to beat up on, right? I like Vandy having a "little brother complex".

The ACC has Duke. The Pac-12 has Stanford. The Big 10 has Northwestern. So, why can't we have Vandy????

considering the vols performance this last decade (not to mention that the last three vandy games were two epic struggles and one butt kicking-receiving end), we're hardly in a position to try to throw anybody out for non-performance. its noted however that a good number of posters consider things like academics as nuisances, never to be allowed to interfere with athletics.

Uh Duke and Stanford are national powerhouses in several different sports. I'm not arguing for or against Candy one way or the other, but trying to somehow tie in the other elite non-ivy academic schools as a little brother to step on is an epic face palm moment.

In fact, Stanford has won the Director's Cup as most successful overall athletic program every year since 1994. Duke is a perennial top 20 school.

Interesting post in that each of the major conferences you mentioned does seem to have their "bright kid" (see the schools you mentioned). Of course, Duke is great in BB, NW has really come on in FB, and Stanford seems to do just about everything well so to claim those guys are "little brothers" misses the mark. Vandy has even represented themselves well as of late. I always wondered why they couldn't compete since Stanford always did. I do think that when their schedule is loaded with the likes of Bama, LSU, etc. instead of Ole Miss and Auburn on a down year, that that will change. Franklin had a shot at making regular noise in recruiting until Jones, Stoops, and Freeze showed up.

They would help out the image, if anyone know who they were...

Seriously, the average fan here on the left coast, probably has no idea that Vanderbilt is an SEC school.

Out here they hear SEC and think, Bama, LSU, Florida, etc. Vandy isn't even an afterthought.
