Any news on this one? Seems we've heard a but from our other guard targets lately but nothing on Lyle.

Lyle is cutting down his list in July I believe. No news is good news. Same top 7. Look out for his 5 official visits tho.

Dead even from his words but I'd personally say UofL or IU. IU because two of his best friends one was committed to IU and one currently is. UofL because well it's UofL.

I would agree. I would say he has a top 3 of Tennessee, Louisville and Indiana. The order is really unknown, but I'd guess Tennessee is a close 3rd at this point.

Yeah I think it's close because you have one commit in James Blackmon in his ear about IU then the other Trey Lyles telling him not to go there possibly. I still say we have a good chance.

D'angelo Russell committed to Ohio State that's a guard. I know OSU was in Lyle's top 7 so this could help.

I saw that too. However, I really don't think that O$U would have been that much of a threat. I say it is a IU, UofL and UT battle with UCLA being a darkhorse candidate. UCLA worries me a little just because they offered late and he expanded his list from 6 to 7. His interest is peaked by playing there so I think they will become more of a player for him down the stretch. Cali draws a lot of kids because of the lights and action. It will be very interesting to see Martin bang heads with Pitino, Crean and Alford

Doesn't look like he's made any move to cut down the list. He just talked to a reporter and had his list up. I think he will take his official visits

That's that reporters guess, Chip Miller tweeted that he's gonna cut it down to 2 soon and listed all the schools still in it. Lyle did however tell reporters today the coaches e has the best relationships with are Pitino and Crean, kinda surprised by that.

What's weird about that is that Chip Miller tweeted he would be trimming to 2 schools very soon, Lyle retweeted it and then told him to include UCLA on his list.

My opinion has been he'll trim for 7 to 4 or 5 and take his OVs.

Does seem a bit slanted. They say he says that he has the best relationship w/ Crean and Pitino, but don't quote him saying it. Sounds like they could have asked him about those coaches specifically and he answered.

Anyway, I think we all knew that UofL and Indiana were the two programs we'd have to beat for this kid. Hope CCM can stay in it.

Last list of 6 schools I saw didn't include Tennessee.

Note the contradiction.(or translate for me)
