are you really old friends or have you just met them. cause I was coached by Tennessee pg Rodney Woods who took us to games and we got to meet and talk with all the player on the 84-85 squad plus one night I was driving between gibbs hall and Neyland Stadium and we stopped to ask if someone knew where this place we were going to was. and the person we were talking to was Dyron Nix and a few other players I can not remeber which ones but we talked for 25 minuets cause I was telling him how great these dunks I saw at the last few games before that night and he was real cool and he talked a lot to. it and was fun to talk with him he probally just talked to us cause it was stroking his ego.and another time a friend and I were going to a ball game and ran into fred Jenkins and tony white they were cool to and also met Julian battle and some other football players and sat around talking Vol football. and there was plenty of other times I ran into UT PLAYERS past and present but I have not saw them lately and I do not get insider info from them. Also Ray Mears was the guest speaker at one of my basketball banquets and he watched some films of some of our games and spent several hours at our school and he said he loved the way I play defense cause I was our defensive stopper against the quick 5,8 guards or 6,7 center and I do not live in Knoxville I could just imagine all the Vol fans that live around Knoxville how many players they run into it does not always mean we or they get inside info. But if you are really friends with those guys I am sorry I was just trying to make a point.

Landing Gaulden will help tremendously in getting Malone. If you see Gaulden commit to the Vols, I would raise the percentages on Malone being in Knoxville.

I don't claim to be one of the original gangsters who claim they know everything going on inside the UTAD and where Jon Gruden was headed. Nor do I hang out and post on here 24 hours a day as some do. I try to share truthful and pertinent information and opinions.

It is amazing how insecure some folks get because you happen to be friends with someone who knows something that is Vols related. It is even more amazing how they react to news that they may night like. This portion of the board used to be free of the psychos that populate the football board. It is pretty evident that they have migrated to the recruiting board.

Maybe its the delivery. Nothing is certain in recruiting.

well you havent really said anything.. you refuse to give us any real info... like what school leads, or what you heard. all you really said was that UT is out of it but still has a chance. and you defend yourself like you gave us groundbreaking info

thank you - thats the easiest type of insider info to give - where no matter what happens it can always be right

real insider info is - he is a silent to Notre Dame and will make public in August - period

then we can wait and see what happens in august to see if person is legit

this is - a few teams are in it - we are not at top right now - could work our way in - lot of work - well that same thing could be said for about 500 recruits in the country right now - so moving on.....

Fortenberry interview with Malone on VQ. He sounds wide open. Fort asked him about UGA and he had a lot of good things to say, likes their staff, offense and players. Same about UT, likes CBJ and that UT is on its way back and adding a lot of the top instate kids. Says he talks to the instate recruits all the time.

Said he'll take visits to regional places this summer like UT, Vandy, UK, FSU and will also go to UCLA for a visit.

I agree with your point, but I was also including the coaching search, Tee Martin, assistants CBJ was bringing, etc in my comment.

Inside info is great, but with recruiting being what it is there is not a lot of absolutes out there.

Nope, no mention of ND. I watched the video again to make sure. The one school I left off by accident was Clemson, he said he might make it back there for a visit this summer.
