btw, Star Trek: Into Darkness - 9/10

would have given it an 8 out of 10, but Abrams gave some love to Captain Archer and the gang on the NX-01
I missed that part? I remember them mentioning Admiral Archer and his beagle in the 1st one but I didn't catch it this time around.

Star Trek: Into Darkness
9/10

Caught the matinee this afternoon, I give it a 9/10 for the same reason I think I gave the first one.

That being the Enterprise being able to fly in a planet's atmosphere. (And apparently underwater) I know that the USS Voyager in that series could do it but it was supposedly the first ship that could do it and that was supposedly around 150 years give or take from the original Enterprise show timeline.

I don't know how many noticed but Chris Pine really channeled Shatner this time in some of his mannerisms etc..

Now the wait for Man of Steel!

The Last Stand 7/10.... it is what it is and enjoyed it.

EPIC3D 7.5/10...great family movie and good in 3D...pretty funny also...

Caught the last 20 minutes of Sharktopus last night.

0.5/10

This movie rockets right past "so bad it's good" territory and straight into the "WTF am I watching" zone.

Right before the final battle with Sharktopus, the main character drops a one-liner, and needlessly removes his shirt. It was brilliantly innovative.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!:

Apparently the way they killed him was that the creator of Sharktopus had a built in self-destruct mechanism of some sort. It was, of course, password protected. So the final battle consisted of this shirtless dood somehow fighting back the mighty Sharktopus with a sharpened stick, while his co-conspirator tried phrase after phrase as the password while repeatedly cursing her father's lack of foresight.

Acting: 0/10
Plot: 0/10
Dialogue: -3/10
Visuals: 2/10

SyFy was playing a monster movie marathon, because they apparently associate our fallen war heroes with monsters. So I was fortunate enough to catch the first 10 minutes of Piranhaconda as well. It was based on a similar premise, only this time the monster was natural. At some point, a piranha and an anaconda got it on together and created this marvel of natural selection.

As you may have put together, a piranhaconda is very similar to a regular anaconda, only its head has a slightly different shape, and somehow it is 20x the size of your typical anaconda.

Recoil 6.5/10.... Has Stone Cold and Danny Trejo in it...enjoyable to watch as an Action flick with Stone Cold being his bad ass self

That's funny....I saw that on SyFy and noticed all the stupid names and my first thought was to get all the names of the movies and put them on here to make fun of...then I got distracted by some boobies and forgot :)

I saw 30 Minutes Or Less other day (Jesse Eisenburg, Aziz Ansari). It was OK, nothing special though.

However, Aziz Ansari is turning in to one of my favorite comedians/actors.

Nightwatch
This was not before Ewan Mcgregor was in the Star Wars Episode 1 to 3 movies. Ewan is a law student Martin Bells that is working a job as the lone watchman at a Hospital.

He see's a problem with a dead body that was moved around and I think blood. When he get's what I think is the coroner the blood is not there, and a female corpse is in the same spot as other bodies. So think of I Know What You Did Last Summer with the dead body in the closet it's that same kind of scene.
The clues that lead to Martin Bells is making it hard for Martin, and there is a scene where seeing James Gallman's reaction when asked if he is the killer you think that it could be him. Martin is going to have to find out who the killer is before it's late.
You'll find who the killer is before the climax pay attention to details if you want to discover who the killer is before the killers face is shown. A climax that like the one in Jaws is topnotch.

5.8 out of 10
I think it would have been better if you didn't find out who the killer is until the climax.

Moonrise Kingdom - 8.5/10

Saw it at the theater and have watched a couple times on HBO recently. Well done and a very accessible Wes Anderson flick.
