Not necessarily, its how you train. If you do a lot of high reps, it won't always equate to a higher max.

Would be a great get! And actually someone bumped Malik Foreman's thread and I see a lot of similarities between he and Truitt!

Back during the Clinton years I was doing 225 15 or so times but I could only max about 310. Its probably all mental, having that weight on the bar.

It means more so that you were absolutely maximizing your potential. Guys that don't work that hard and struggle to get 225 8 times but go out and max 350 are sandbagging it. To do that many reps means your muscles have great endurance, while guys who don't work hard don't build up that kind of muscle endurance. Even if they're naturally stronger.

As far as Truitt, that's plenty of weight for a 17 year old cornerback. Enough to provide good run support and meet people over the middle.

I don't agree with this.

Somebody who can run a sub 18 min 5k but can't finish a marathon isn't sandbagging. Your body does what you train it to do.

Fwiw, I also think Bench Press is an overrated exercise with respect to football and I have no idea why people and recruiting services continue to measure it.

That's basically my point lol. Maybe I didn't say it that clearly but oh well.

It may be overrated but it's just a reference point for people to measure recruits. Just like recorded 40 times, you don't have to put stock in it if you want but if Rivals has access to that info they'll post it for others, not their own evaluation.

That's one of the most idiotic things I've heard in a while... Some ppl will give anything to keep believing I guess..

Disagree AC. The record shows that when Skeeter said that Tee was coming home, he was simply stating that he was coming home to interview for the WR coaching position. Skeeter clarified that before the interview occurred.

I've just noticed that some people bash Skeeter while misquoting what he said or his intent.

All kidding aside I think Skeeter had inside info. Had being the key word. I think with the new staff he may not be as much in the know anymore. I could be wrong though
