It didn't die, I could still watch tv, I just couldn't pause live tv or access my recorded shows/movies. Came out the next morning and replaced it.

That would make me angry. I pause and record religiously so I can avoid any and all commercials.
 
Called Sunday around 4pm and the tech was at my front door at 9:30am Monday morning. Cool thing is I used the u-Verse app on my iPad and texted with a service person.
 
I do to, but, how many times you get service the next morning? Isn't the first time either. Sure it's not the same everywhere though.

With comcast I have to either take my problem to a store at their odd hours or make an appt. and wait several days stewing. I expect things to work the way they are supposed to. My internet cuts out all the time, yet they can't see anything wrong. /rant
