Anyone remember how to launch a program at boot and have it overlay the Windows GUI? Anyone? No. Of course not.

Go into your GUI and use the DOS prompt and do a run command on your .exe

Also try to .php your Google into the hard disk. If that for some reason doesn't work, reboot.
