Maybe, but it's incorrect. Darwin Barney is simply not as good as Phillips in any facet of the game

I mean that's obviously part of it but as someone who watches 5-6 games a night in addition to the Reds if they're on, I know that I see him do things at 2nd on a regular basis that I don't see anyone else doing at all.

Barney likely won the gold glove because he's likeable, everyone says he has great makeup, he can't hit well so his consistent glove is his thing... and also because that glove is very good.

If BP played for any other team I would still think he's the best 2nd Baseman in Baseball. His range is off the chart.
