Wow I guess it depends on who brings up the topic as to whether or not it belongs. I think if you read this thread there are more nonrelevant topics as opposed to relevant ones. But you didn't approve of said discussion and instead of ignoring it and moving on you decided to voice your opinion as to the relevancy of a conversation. In conclusion you must have big lips. JMO.

Glad you mentioned this. I'm kin to one of our '13 recruits, and since I know he reads this thread specifically, and this subforum in general, and since I know other peers of his read this too, I thought I'd seek to try to silence this inane, borderline racist discussion. If there are other topics like this I won't hesitate to call people out, but since most actually adhere to the stated topic, I don't have to.
I always was so concerned that my ignorance of certain topics might offend people, so I always educated myself as much as possible on proper discourse. Glad to see you have as well.:hi:

Who is it? Spill...

And how much do our inane message board convos affect recruits? Truly interested - not being sarcastic or flippant.

Get back with us in a few years and tell us how that whole trying to silence discussion thing works out. You're going to be a very, very busy man around here

Watching this 30/30 about Bo Jackson, after his injury to his hip when rehabbing he could shoot a Bow N Arrow with his feet: wtf. That dude was amazing.
Wish he would have stayed healthy, did some amazing things.

I watched it too. depressing as hell how many great guys got cut short.

How about The Best That Never Was?

I tell ya what Simmons has done with these 30 for 30's is amazing.

Yeah I saw that one too, Marcus Dupree.
Bo could have been the first and only person probably ever in NFL and MLB hall of fame. That would have been so cool. I know his batting average was like .270 but the dude could crank the ball and steal some bases. Football, we all know the legend there. It is kind of depressing. Bo just likes to make his own arrows and shoot animals now, he seems at peace so hopefully all is well lol.

I really enjoy the 30/30s as well, enjoyed the Reggie Miller vs the Knicks one, being a Pacers fan in all. Hated the Knicks back then, **** I hope they stomp them out of the playoffs this year.

I don't think we should read anything into it other than CBJ has said it's his preference to have 5 scholarship QBs. This guy would give us five.

Doesn't hurt that he was a highly touted recruit with a good track record running an offense with similarities to the one we will run.

I say bring him on. Whoever gives us the best chance to win, that's who I want as our starting QB.

That's why I asked the question because honestly I didn't know anything about him? I wanted to know is he a mobile QB and how he would possibly fit into the system CBJ runs. I also was wondering what the mindset of the QB's would be if they did bring in another one. I know nothing about this kid.

I understand what you're saying however there was nothing out of line in the comment that I made. If anything as an African-American if I thought a particular statement were out of line than I myself would not hesitate to say something regardless of who it was. We should not be so quick to call someone a racist because of a feature someone may have. Racism is much deeper than that as most people on this board I'm sure are aware. We shouldn't cringe so much when people say things that we might not say. It doesn't make it wrong or racist or whatever. Of course that's just my lame opinion which isn't worth much. I'll end it there.

I think he will go to the QB draft camp sleepover and see how it plays out. I saw a tweet earlier about him saying he could not wait till June 2nd(think that is the bama camp) and a #"rollturd" after it.

I think it's hard to get upset with kids going to the bama QB camp sleepover when we are doing the same thing sort of. A lot of the same UT fans saying Cornwell should tell bama to go to hell are on here saying how Pyke and Reagon should come to the UT camp to earn their chance to wear Orange. We are able to do it with lower rated guys, bama can just do it with everyone, 5 star kids included.

Great point here. I think Cornwell or Kizer would be great, but I really like Cornwell's potential with Coach Jake calling plays.

Any Grizzlies fans? I grew up watching the Titans and Grizzlies, but my teams are the Hawks and Falcons now. Still like both the Griz and the Titans though. I'm hoping Memphis beats OKC tonight, and eventually win the series. They could even make the Finals this year IMO :)

There is always a lot of off-topic stuff in every thread when there is no recruiting news & the team is not practicing. Posters get bored.

We need your man to commit (if he hasn't already) so we can get back on topic! :)

that is completely it - were are under his preferred scholarship count and an opportunity presented itself - nothing more to see

we also have basically no experience at the position so the more competition the better

Hubbs on the Rivals rerankings that are happening this month in relation to our prospects going up or down.

I think Paulk will go to 4. I think Coleman Thomas will go to 4. We will see about Creamer. I think Wolf is a possibility.

I don't see a major drop with Hurd or Wharton coming.

With the re-rankings and current silents(3) finally comitting plus picking up a couple more over the summer, we will have the #1 class going into the fall.

Yep. We gotta close out in game 5. Then I'm hoping Spurs-Nuggs goes 7 games

Honestly I don't think either team can really slow down Z-Bo and Gasol but I'd prefer my chances at stopping GS with built in home court advantage vs playing the seemingly never aging Spurs
