What did you have for dinner?

It was from a place called Silk Road Thai. Decent place. We have Asian places we like better, but this is really close to the house.

Cool. Close to home is always a good thing.

Did it satisfy? Beside being close to the house?

That place sucks. Give me a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant anyday over that place.

That usually holds true with Chinese and Mexican food. Back in the '70's, there was the House of Chan located across from Berry's Funeral Home in S. Knox. It was in the bottom of that broken down hotel. Great food. Magic Wok, in Oak Ridge, can't be more than a 50' trailer box. Great food.

Not sure on that place. My favorite place is Szechuan Garden in South Knoxville.

Passed by there today. Haven't eaten there yet. Gotta hit up Magic Wok next week with my brother. Just Googled to make sure they're still in business. Seems they had a small fire. In the story, the owners are identified and Betty and Jim Wong. Pretty funny since that isn't their real names. That's just what the locals call them. Her name in Ming Wai and his is unpronounceable.

Must be how the dish and the country in the post don't match.
