What's he supposed to say? I appreciate that the NBA playoffs is the most merit-based pro sports championship we've got, but the flip side is that it also becomes the most predictable.

There is more fluff in basketball commentary than in any other sport. I can't stand it. My favorite..."See the look in Player X's eye? He wants it right now!"

There's fluff everywhere. Baseball is bad for it, too. Thing is, that commentary (read: announcers essentially inventing mindsets based on end results) is not directed at us (by us I mean those that know the stats, are sick of that sort of thing, etc). It's directed at people casually watching a game and wanting to hear that same voice each time. Normalcy is welcome by most, and I fall into that category sometimes, as well.

There's a lot of dead air in sports broadcasting. I rip on them, but I would likely crash and burn, at least at first.

I have a soft spot for DA (Arthur) and I've always liked Ed Davis game and loved the pick up, but you were right. He has run laps around DA and deserves all our backup big minutes.

It's about what you do with your minutes. 12 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, and just 1 turnover per 36 minutes. He was a beast.

I always figured Davis would get blocks/boards. He's a very nice asset to have coming off the bench.

Nando de Colo has played one minute in the playoffs and is currently averaging 96 points and 48 rebounds per 48 minutes. Is he the playoff MVP?

Hopefully you can see the difference between 1 minute and 1631 minutes.

As usual, Most Improved Player goes to a guy who didn't really improve, he was just given more minutes. Paul George was just as good last year. Lance Stephenson, Larry Sanders, and JJ Hickson made the biggest improvement in production per minute.

This happens to most unheard of bench Warmers that get more playing time.
