Link to some of these dudes? I want to see what they have to say.
Thanks.
Here's the deal. I really think Hollins is a great coach, and has lead us to great heights. But apparently these guys on the radio in Memphis are all future recipients of the Red Auerbach trophy, so they know best. I just want to see this team prosper, so if it is without Hollins, I understand.
So let me here your excuses for not putting Allen on Paul and instead letting Conley get abused for the second straight year. What about Arthur over Davis? What about repeating the same mistake that you did last year by leaving your starters on the bench like it's October 20th rather than April 20th. He is a great motivator and has done wonderful things, but he is stubborn and not willing to play lineups that work. He is getting outcoached by Vinny Del Negro for the 2nd straight year. Think about that.
The Clippers are just better than Memphis, but Lionel coached this game like it was Oct. 21 rather than April 21.
Why don't you come up with your own lines.
Dan wolken:
Also I'm not the ****ing coach so don't come at me trying to figure out the ideal line up. Apparently you all already know what they are.
So when you are starting to get destroyed 6 minutes into the 4th with Dooling, Arthur, and Pondexter on the floor you think that is the ideal lineup?
Or how about the genius move where the Clippers had Paul, Bledsoe, and Billups in the game. Lionel puts in freaking Austin Daye at the 3?
There was zero flow to the game because he kept meddling. And yes, I stole that line from Wolken because it described it perfectly (I did use the right date of the game; however) just like it fit him perfectly last year. He does not have a bench that he can just keep in there for the first 6-7 minutes of the 4th. He knows this. He knew it last year. And he continues to do it. Arthur is not the same player that he was 2 years ago right now. Conley cannot guard Paul as evidenced by two straight years. Same mistakes over and over again.
