This kid is extremely smooth and fluid. Doesn't seem to have the breakaway speed, but knows how to get open. I like him, but man he needs to learn how to hold onto the football properly!

I just watched some of his film, and I am not an expert by any means. However, based on what I saw, I really like this player. He has good acceleration, he doesn't shy away from contact, he is good in space (good change of direction), and one of the things I liked most was his ability to catch everything with his hands. He didn't, or from what I watched, have to body-catch a lot of balls, and he extended his arms to go get the ball. I really like that in a WR, and it shows they are good hands.

Want. Seems like a polished receiver, except for the way he carries the ball. No doubt that can be corrected.

Definitely has good hands and a dirty sneaky juke wiggle move.
Seemed to be above average speed. Like this

What's weird is we may lose kitt to osu but kitt may be a reason this guy come here. Accdg to 247 kitt keeps telling Eric he should commit to tn cuz he could play ASAP as juco. They are friends.

I think it's very telling that Kitt could have caught a ride easily with his teammate, Swinney. I think it shows us where we really stand on his list. I wonder if Urbs pulled off some shenanigans with Kitt and Autry, regarding them going to O&W game?

AC, I forgot to throw that in my post, good call Brosef. Seems to be very Phsyical and hard to get to the ground. Love the effort from Eric. Would be be thrilled with the pick up.

@RyanCallahan247: #Tennessee #Vols lead for JUCO wide receiver @EL11__: Tennessee Vols lead for JUCO wide receiver Eric Lauderdale

“Tennessee is, like, my number-one school right now, because I do like Tennessee, so I called Coach ‘Z’ and I told him that,” said Lauderdale, who will have three years to play two at the college of his choice. “I said, Y’all are my favorite school right now. I do want to come visit soon, and I just want to come out there.

“He was like, ‘OK, I like to hear that,’ and he put me on the phone with Coach Jones. I talked to Coach Jones about coming in and playing, getting playing time because they need kind of, like, an older guy — like, a junior-college guy like me, because I’m kind of mature and older, a little bit — to come in and play right away and stuff like that.”

“I mean, they just got them two receivers out last year, so there’s nothing better you can ask for than receivers going to the NFL,” said Lauderdale, who claims to have been timed at 4.47 seconds in the 40-yard dash. “It’s kind of on the depth chart, too. I mean, I do want to come in and play somewhere right away and make an impact. That’s what I want to do, for sure.

“Honestly, I do like Tennessee. I don’t know why. I like that orange, for some reason. That bright orange, I like it. And I like the fan base, too. They show a lot of love.”

“I called (Azzanni on Wednesday) because I’m friends with one of the receivers he’s trying to get at Tennessee, Demarre Kitt,” Lauderdale said. “I’m friends with him, so I was texting with Demarre (on Wednesday) morning, and he was telling me I should commit to Tennessee because, like, they don’t have, really, no receivers coming back.”

“They were saying my chances of coming in and playing were high — like, I could come in and play right away,” Lauderdale said. “And I did actually look at their depth chart. There weren’t too many receivers that actually played last year, because I watched some of their games. I looked, and they are in need of some receivers, so that is my favorite school right now and I am considering them.”

“I think summer classes start June 16, so I’m going to try to get out there (to Tennessee) before that — before my summer classes start, for sure,” he said. “I want to see Tennessee, and while I’m on that side (of the country), I actually might just, like, go to Miami. They want me to come visit, so I might go take that visit.”

On a decision timeline:
“I actually kind of want to make a decision before my junior-college season starts — it starts in September — but if that doesn’t happen, I will have my top five or top three schools narrowed down by that time,” Lauderdale said. “But I do kind of want to make a decision before the season starts.”
