Ham is not a favorite of mine.

A homemade Teriyaki sauce glazed ham is good tho.

Gonna really experiment with coke and brown suga, buddy of mine made a great ham last week he wouldn't tell me his ingredient but I'm thinkin it was coke.

Does your buddy have a vag? Sounds like a little beech. Does he like techno disco?

Cola products should be used for the purpose they are good for. Removing paint.

Ain't that the fawking truth.

I just don't get it.

"Man, this ham, steak, chicken, venison, duck...wtf ever, marinade is missing something." AHHH, COKE!

I could see where a cola product might actually tenderize a bit, but it can't add anything except sugar, HFCS or whatever fake/unhealthy sweetener included. My thinking on steak is that if you have to use something on it prior to cooking (for tenderizing) or afterwards for taste, you might want to look at your meat selection.

That's my point. So many better options. Want sugar? Use honey, molasses or...sugar. Want the acidity? Use a tomato. GTFO with coke, Dr.Pepper or any soda.

And I'm not a "snob" or uppity. :)

I have never used a soda to marinate anything. I have, however, cooked some brats in beer before. Once.

It has alcohol in it. I use red wine in my red sauce and white wine in my clam sauce. Jack Daniels in my BBQ sauce........

That's okay.
