I just don't get it.
"Man, this ham, steak, chicken, venison, duck...wtf ever, marinade is missing something." AHHH, COKE!
I could see where a cola product might actually tenderize a bit, but it can't add anything except sugar, HFCS or whatever fake/unhealthy sweetener included. My thinking on steak is that if you have to use something on it prior to cooking (for tenderizing) or afterwards for taste, you might want to look at your meat selection.
I have never used a soda to marinate anything. I have, however, cooked some brats in beer before. Once.
